Escape to *Livingstone Farm 1860*, a peaceful luxury farm B&B with a private hot tub, friendly animals, and wide-open countryside. This charming farmhouse retreat combines rustic & modern comforts, including breakfast items to start your day. Unwind in tranquil surroundings, explore local hiking trails, or simply enjoy the farm’s serene landscape. Perfect for girl’s trips & friends seeking a restful getaway immersed in nature’s beauty.
The space
With a turn off of our dirt road, down a majestic maple tree lined drive way, you will find this 1860 stone home.
There is a sitting room next to the entryway which features a bay window that look out onto a stunning view of the rolling hills on our property. The main level offers a kitchen, dining room, living room and washroom with a shower.
The kitchen has a rustic wood burning stove (not in use), wood countertops, modern stainless steel appliances and wood cabinets. The kitchen comes equipped for chef’s likings and includes coffee (drip, espresso and decaf), tea (herbal and black) and breakfast items during your stay. Next to the kitchen is a laundry room with a small washroom attached.
The second level has four bedrooms. It also features a full washroom with a claw foot tub, shower, a rustic sink and wood floors. The bedrooms have minimalist interiors, wood floors, and fluffy linens.
Outside is where the home really shines. There’s a flagstone patio surrounding the salt water pool and hot tub, perfect for entertaining, a covered porch with a porch swing, and a fire pit for a cozy evening.
The property has stunning views of the rolling hills of farmland that are best enjoyed around sunrise with a cup of coffee in the morning and sunset with a cold glass of wine in the evening. It's a beautiful place for a country escape.
Guest access
We offer our farmhouse exclusively to the guests booking. Even though we are a B&B, there will be no other guests staying at the house while it’s booked by you. It will be your private sanctuary.
Guests have access to the driveway, parking for 4 vehicles, and the acreage surrounding the house.
The pool (open seasonally) & hot tub and firepit are for your use and we must disclaim they are to be used at your own risk. We open up our private hiking trails once the pool is closed and all of our farming activities are complete for the season.
Where the driveway ends and the fields start would be the boundary for our guests to observe. The driveway is an accessibility pathway for a small model airplane club that operates in the summer months in the back field of the farm.
We will be staying onsite, separate from the farmhouse, during your stay and will be available with notice.
Other things to note
Seasonal Experiences.
Spring: Enjoy blooming lilacs and fresh, mild weather—ideal for exploring the countryside.
Summer: Warm temperatures make it perfect for outdoor activities, including our salt water pool & nearby farm experiences.
Fall: Gorgeous autumn colors surround the farm, creating a cozy, scenic backdrop. Once the crops are off the fields, enjoy the farm’s scenic private trails.
Winter: Experience a winter wonderland with snow-covered landscapes, perfect for cozying up by the firepit with hot chocolate or soaking in the hot tub under a starry sky. Snowshoes and toboggans are available during your stay.
Year Round Offerings.
Private Chef and Gourmet Farm-to-Table Dinners: We have partnered with a local chef to offer in-home dining experiences using seasonal and farm-sourced ingredients.
Local Winery Experience: Private guided experience at a local winery can be arranged year-round.
Falconry: Hawkeye Falconry experts nearby offer an up close and personal experience with birds of prey in all four seasons of the year. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, this is a must.
Line Dancing: Line Dancing drop in evenings are often available to beginner dancers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings nearby.
Salt Water Pool: Our pool is solar heated and much needed for cooling off on a hot summer’s day. Because our pool is heated with a solar system, the temperature will vary throughout your stay and is much cooler in the early summer month and late fall. We provide weekly pool maintenance and somehow are never able to keep up with the leaves and debris that blows into our pool from the fields.
Private Hiking Trails: Our trails are open Oct 1 to May 1, and closed through the summer to allow for agricultural operations on the fields. Please be sure to confirm with the host on availability as large moving equipment can be crossing the trails during specific times which that poses safety risks to guests.
