Big, bright, beautiful double room in a funkily restored victorian house, oozing with charm, located in one of the nicest streets in the whole of Brixton - the hippest place to live, and go out in London.
This lovely double room has big sash windows, high ceilings, and sky lights - in summer it's just amazing to be in. There's a big comfortable iron bed with a new mattress, a victorian chest of drawers and large double wardrobe with full length mirrors. Bedsheets and towels are provided.
On the first floor you'll find a fabulous funky bathroom with a roll top bath that takes two and a walk in rain shower. There's also a hidden washer/dryer.
The downstairs has a lovely double lounge, diner and kitchen with programmable HUE lighting, funky features everywhere, a piano, coloured light strips in the floor and walls. And french doors open onto a peaceful private garden. There's sky and tivo for movie lovers, and an amazing 1970s bright red leather sofa for lounging in.
Guests can use the whole house and garden and any of the facilities - including the washer/dryer, and entertainment system. The 1st floor bathroom is shared with my best friend Courage, who's very friendly, and has a bedroom on a separate floor. The downstairs lounge, diner, kitchen and private garden are all for use with whoever is staying. in the kitchen, you can use all utensils and kitchen supplies, and we can give you a food cupboard if you want to stay a while:)
Please remember that you're sharing the house with the person whose home it is; so please treat it as you would your own home.

I'm a film maker by trade but now run a non profit in Nepal. Recently I got married there to Line - a Dane - in an entirely crazy Hindu ceremony with a thousand guests. We won't try that again. Now we have a baby and a lovely apartment in Aarhus, Denmark:)
Our house in Brixton (London) is a very special place. I bought it as a ruin, 15 years ago, and spent 8 years rebuilding it. I took the roof off, all the floors up and every wall except the two party walls down to the ground. I had lots of fun with it, cutting holes and letting light into unexpected places and and it's now a space that makes me smile whenever I'm in it. I hope it will make you smile also.
