Julien's home is gorgeous - it looks just as amazing as the pictures. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. For example, Zohra walked us to our lunch place after we arrived. There were 5 of us and we each had a bedroom and a private bathroom. We stayed at 3 other Airbnbs during our trip in Morocco and my friends said that this was the best experience. The neighborhood is 10 mins walk away from the north of the medina. I like this neighborhood because it is quieter and less crowded.

If you're looking for a safe, magical and sweet holiday spot in Morocco, this Riyad is your best choice. I celebrated my 30th bday with 10 friends, from the pictures I could see the beauty of the place, but being there was even better than expected. The riyad is located in a very central and safe area. It's few minutes walk from the souk, and many of the nicest restaurants in town. The place itself it's incredibly cozy and beautiful. The rooms are very, very clean and in a perfect Moroccan chic style. BUT MOST IMPORTANT, Zohra! She's the housekeeper and the sweetest person I've ever met. She made our stay in Marrakech unforgettable. Zohra is an old lady, full of love for the guests, energy and strength! Together with Asma, they provided us of excellent service and more than we could've asked for! Amazing!

This is a lovely traditional Riad in the thick of the medina (old town). It is furnished and decorated in traditional style and has heaps of character. Nevertheless it is cool and tranquil inside the walls (except during the call to prayer!). Good points -The riad staff were very welcoming and friendly and did everything they could to accomodate us, including providing an evening meal on night on request. -The riad was clean and beds were made daily. -The small pool on the roof was great for a quick dip to cool off. Things to improve -would be nice to have more than one key to the Riad -some eggs, yogurt or meat/ fish with breakfast would be good (we were served fruit juice, coffee, bread and jam/ honey). -the outside furniture on the roof could do with a refresh. Thanks again.

A charming riad, in a really great up-and-coming part of the Marrakech medina - there are some excellent restaurants within walking distance (Le Jardin, Terraces des Epices) and some more upmarket shops/stallholders in that area, too, to enjoy shopping at without the hassles or hustle and bustle of the main souks. The riad itself is very charming and traditional in style - the lower courtyard is cool and breezy, there's a great rooftop with small pool. Four of the rooms are on the first floor, each with air-con, one room is on the ground floor by the main courtyard (no air-con and a little noisier in terms of morning breakfast preparations on same floor) and one room on the rooftop (we didn't need to use this one but it would be quite hot in the hot season - we travelled in Sept and it was 40 degrees C each day). The rooms are spacious and comfortable, each with a nice ensuite bathroom with a good shower, all individual in their style. Zohra the housekeeper lives in the house and sleeps on the sofa in the living room overnight, and was like our Moroccan grandmother - always greeting us warmly each morning and whenever we got back to the riad, she was delightful. She only speaks French so someone in your group needs to be able to speak French to some degree otherwise communication would be a challenge. Yolande, the riad owner's mother, popped in twice during our week, too, to check all was well - she is very gregarious and happy to help arrange transfers etc. Breakfast was a simple affair, coffee and mint tea, bread, pancakes/chapati and jams and two days we had boiled eggs, too. You need to buy your own bottled water but there are several stalls very nearby. Overall a great spot and a great stay!

Love for travel is where my story begins. Having been to over 30 countries and checked into hundreds of hotels and rental properties, I have extensive experience in various types of accommodations. I embrace quality, care, and the comfort of feeling like I am right at home when checking into a short-term vacation property.
