Tranquillity among the greenery at the heart of chaotic Paris. An authentic family home, full of charm and character, with a garden, in a popular trendy neighbourhood. Five bedrooms, accommodates nine people.

The space

Found in a little alleyway very close to the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery that hides this superb house, originally a fur trader's workshop.
Crossing the entryway, you are transported to another time. Like Proust's madeleine, the charm hits you immediately; antique furniture, boutique objects from every corner of the globe, original tiling; they all take you back to the start of the last century, to the ambience of a country residence.

Entering the vast living room, the large windows bathe the red velour couches in a soft light. The room opens onto a small paved and blossoming garden down its whole length, a genuine haven of peace and greenery, where a table, chairs, bench and hammock offer delicious moments of leisure and daydreams.

At the end of the living room, we find the kitchen a few steps away, under an incredible window. A real kitchen from another era, with a chimney, table, benches, and magnificent panelling, yet the kitchen appliances bring all the modern comforts!

At the other end of the living room, a small corridor leads to two guest bedrooms with a double bed and adjoined bathroom in the first one, and a single bed in the other.

The three other bedrooms are on the first floor, all equipped with a double bed. Very light, their more contemporary style and the simple décor create an intimate and serene ambience. One has an en-suite bathroom, inspired by oriental style.

The largest room, also fitted out with a bathroom with a bath, looks out onto a vast patio, where vines and climbing plants create an operatic Italian décor.
Accessible from the ground floor by an external staircase, it is the perfect space to spend evenings with friends before the beautiful days to come.

This house is a truly unique space which will delight romantic souls keen to rediscover the magic of Paris in days gone by, a place to keep as a secret…

Six of us spent 4 days in this house. Lots of space, large bedrooms (especially for Paris), 3 showers (only one toilet however, in a separate closet, but worked perfectly well). Very close to metro, great local shops and cafés. Chloe who took care of our stay was tremendous (very flexible on check-in and check-out times). The two level terrace was just awesome … your own little paradise in the middle of a big city (access via one of the upstairs bedrooms or through the 1st level terrace). Large fridge and freezer, easy access dishwasher and washing machine (and dryer). Really, everything you could want in Paris for a group of 4+. Would pick this spot again without any hesitation, the photos don’t do justice to its charm and space.

This beautiful house lived up to our expectations and more. We loved the combination of being near a metro and a lively and bustling street with all the amenities, yet the house itself was a safe and quiet haven up a lovely side street and, of course, right next to the extraordinary Pere Lachaise. The rooms were capacious, clean and full of interesting books and works of art, the kitchen was well equipped but the best thing was the ability to sit on the beautiful terrace on a warm evening with a glass in hand soaking up the Parisienne atmosphere. Chloe was welcoming, helpful and charming. We loved every minute of our stay! THANK YOU.

Great location. Close to metro and bus. Beautiful decor with an artistic vibe. Loved all the original artwork. We spent a lot of time on the terrace. It was a little oasis in the city. Having a whole house made traveling so easy. Only downside is that, although there are multiple bathrooms, there's only one toilet. We managed fine though. Thanks for letting us use this house. It was great!

We spent five days with nine people of our family in this wonderful and romantic. We had a gorgeous time at this place and highly recommend it to anybody else who would like to stay in Paris with a greater group of people. We very much enjoyed the wonderful big kitchen where all of us nine people found place and spent long times having breakfast there. The sleeping rooms where also nicely decorated and we very much profited from having three bath-rooms. The single toilette was also no problem at all and was absolutely sufficient for nine people – what we wouldn’t have thought so in the beginning. Besides there were lots of games for children so they shouldn’t be bored as well. Our children as well enjoyed this romantic house which is decorated with so much love and even has two wonderful terraces! I am sure that everybody will fall in love with it the minute they enter this charming house. By the way I may also add that the house lays in a very calm little street and it’s really only a five minutes walk to the next metro station. So we were able to get around Paris without a car with no difficulties. Even the trip to Versailles was no problem at all from there. There is everything nearby the house as well what you need: bakeries, grocery stores and restaurants. So for our family with three children (10, 8 ,6 years) it was a great pleasure to stay in this house. We would love to come again!

This house is an absolute delight. If you are travelling with a group or family, there is nothing that can fault this house. Everything is tasteful, clean and lovely. Out checkin and communication with the host were great. We loved every single room but my personal favourite was the quiet terrace. This is highly recommended.
