Walnut Grove is a 20-foot shipping container that has been lovingly assembled to showcase the restful, unhurried country life of small town Berkeley. Located two hours north of Toronto, this tiny home has plenty of natural light and all the amenities for a modern glamping experience. An ideal space for couples to unwind and explore the local lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and hiking trails (feel free to borrow our complimentary canoe!). Wi-Fi, fire pit, and free parking are available.

The space
Walnut Grove is tucked away on a corner of our property over 150 feet away from our house. A lattice privacy partition offers a bit of seclusion; however, you may see or hear us outside working in the garden or walking the dog from time to time. Your closest neighbours are our chickens and rooster. Your outdoor space includes a BBQ, a picnic table, and a firepit with two hand-crafted outdoor chairs. A canoe is available for guests to borrow. Please be aware that we are located on a major road, so you will be able to hear some traffic sounds if you are outside.

Inside, you will find a full bathroom with a sink, stand-up shower, and flushing toilet, a kitchenette with electric cooktop, kettle, toaster, mini-fridge, and sink, and a double bed with side tables, electrical outlets, and dimmable lights on each side. The water is clean and drinkable. There is a water heater that provides seven minutes of reliable hot water at a time.

Myself and my partner Keith love nature and the outdoors. We live in beautiful Grey County with our beloved dog, cat, and eleven chickens. Our favourite places to visit are Bell's Lake (where we enjoy boating, swimming, and trying to interpret loon calls) and the Beaver River (where we paddle our canoe and watch the many herons, beavers, frogs, and turtles). We are so proud of our shipping container tiny home and hope it will be a source of many happy memories for our guests.
