Tucked away 1 block from fabulous Greenlake, this small private house with a yard has the perfect location. It's close to restaurants, pubs, shops, grocery. Close to major bus routes to UW campus, Capital Hill, Seattle Center, and downtown.

The space

Just one short block from beautiful Green Lake, this small private house has the perfect location. It is situated by the lake, just steps away from popular locally owned shops, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants.

You'll find that you have easy access to several trendy neighborhoods, such as Ballard, Fremont, Greenlake and Phinney Ridge. The E-Line bus stop is just down the street, so you can get downtown (Space Needle, Pike Place Market, etc.) without parking hassles. If you have a car, downtown is about 7 minutes away.

The cottage itself is private, (a stand alone house) with a private parking spot in the alley behind. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with kids, as there is a small nook with a second bed upstairs next to the other one. I have also hosted bigger groups, but be warned it is a squeeze. You can bring the bed from upstairs downstairs to the living room to give each other space. I also have an additional air bed mattress. The couches are comfy as well. However, be prepared to be close and friendly if more people are staying, as this is a small house with no doors between rooms.

The layout consists of a nice open living room downstairs with 2 couches and a TV - great for watching Netflix, Hulu, and HBO (I don't have cable). Adjacent is a small kitchen with a breakfast nook. I love to cook and so have fairly nice appliances - Vitamix for smoothies, Cuisinart mixing machine, InstantPot, cast iron pans, toaster oven, and a french press and grinder for freshly brewed coffee.

The upstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed, desk, and large walk in closet. A second queen sized bed is tucked away in a cozy nook in the closet area. The upstairs also has the bathroom, shower, and bathtub. Please note, the ceilings are on the lower side, so if you are tall and this is a concern, this might not be the place for you.

Outside there is a great yard with a garden, grill, and chairs. If veggies are bountiful, feel free to grab some kale, chard or more!

Our Host gave us very accurate information and left us with a detailed list of places she knew we would be needing during our stay. If you're wanting to stay north of Seattle...this is a very nice location, right by Woodland Park.

This place is great! It was a perfect size for a family of four, and we really enjoyed using the yard for morning coffee, and evening cocktails. This home was immaculately clean, and so comfortable, we all slept so well! Leia was an excellent communicator, and very flexible with the details of check in and check out, which was very much appreciated! All in all this home made our trip to Seattle even more amazing, thank you Leia!!

The central location can't be beat: it is very easy to walk to Greenlake, get a bus to downtown or the U-District, or get to I-5 by car.  The house is ideal for a couple or a small family.  It would be a real squeeze to get more then 3 people around the table in the eating nook in the kitchen, but there is outdoor table with plenty of room for 4.  We would stay there again.

I am an outdoor enthusiast - I love rock climbing, biking, running and exploring the mountains! I often take my paint set with me and have done several watercolor paintings that now adorn the house.

I speak Spanish and have spent a lot of time traveling the world - Mexico, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Hungry, India, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, South Korea... You will find small treasures in the house from these distant places.

I also like the tranquility of a good book, a cup of tea, Yoga-Glo yoga, and playing guitar. I have one under the couch if you would like to play it.

I work close by and often bike to work. Everything is so close from this location and the house is right on the Inner-Urban bike trail, Greenlake, and close to the Burke Gilman and Ship Canal trail. I have booked AirBnB for colleagues at work and they have enjoyed the extra amenities that you gain from booking a house rather than just a hotel room.

I am excited to share my house with you and make your stay a good one.
Talk to you soon,
