Welcome to my country home in La Pine. My home backs up to acres of Ponderosa pine forest. I call it a retreat because it is so peaceful here you can hear a pine needle drop! My guests tell me they get a comfortable night's sleep and enjoy the waffles and Starbucks coffee in the morning!

Pricing begins at $49 for a solo traveler increasing $10 per person. This guest room sleeps two. I have a five guest maximum if both guest rooms are rented. I do not charge extra for cleaning this guest room.

The space
I rent out two guest rooms both on the main floor. The NewBeary Caldera guest room has a queen log bed and dresser, and bear night stand. Also available is the Crater Lake guest room featuring a queen Old Hickory furniture set, plus a twin.

The guest full-bath has a vintage clawfoot tub, shower, and fan. When both rooms are rented the guest bath is shared.

Guest access
Kitchen access is provided for cooking. Bring Your Own Food! La Pine has three grocery stores including a Grocery Outlet three miles from my home. One shelf in the fridge is reserved for guest use. The great room and TV loft are also shared. Services include: Wi-Fi high-speed internet and Dish Network TV.

Other things to note
The west and south entrances to Crater Lake NP are open!

Make reservations
for ranger -led snowshoe tours Saturday’s and Sunday’s!

Views of Crater Lake can be obscured by weather. For forecasts, webcams, and other information visit the National Park Service website.

Two-and-a-half indoor/outdoor felines share my home. Our country forest neighborhood is an eclectic mix of vacation and full-time residence homes each on 1/2+ acre leaving plenty of room for parking. Take a walk in ponderosa forest trails. See the star filled skies. Central Oregon has two observatories!

Born in Montana, and raised on the Oregon coast. Eugene was my home for many years before moving to La Pine in December 2011. This forested home, the drier climate with four seasons, and everything there is to do and see here year round is what brought me to central Oregon. (Please see Linda's online Guidebook). I enjoy boating, hiking, sightseeing, winter sports, and relaxing here in the forested countryside. I call myself a "woodsy" because I feel most at home living around trees. Hosting Airbnb provides me the opportunity to meet a variety of interesting travelers from around the world. I enjoy helping guests get their day started by serving Starbucks coffee or tea and assisting with itinerary planning, as much or as little as they would like. I’m familiar with central Oregon, the coast, and Crater Lake. I am a budget-minded traveler and offer an affordable alternative to motels on the highway. When I travel I want a safe, clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep, shower, and cook. All this is provided to you as my guests plus travel tips from someone that has been there!
