The space

Aloha Nature Lovers ! Watch the ships and waterfall from the huge wrap around deck as the horses graze in the pasture below. The stream has several totally private waterfalls and pools to enjoy and make for great hikes. Hiking and riding trails go for miles. Our turn key, off the grid, two story 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. Lindal Cedar A Frame ranch house has great views from the upstairs loft. There is one king and one queen bed upstairs . The down stairs bedroom has a king as well. There are 2 futons and a couch to sleep on if needed also. The 60' of deck with ocean and mountain views make the hammock one of lifes great rewards! There is a granite top kitchen and Dish-TV. Outside you can sit under the stars around the camp fire and roast some marshmallows. There is plenty of room for safe tent camping for the kids all over the 4 acres of beautiful park like setting with rope swings and large shade trees across the property. We are situated between two tropical stream valleys with total privacy. Located 25 minutes north of Hilo and 30 minutes from Waipio Valley. The house is 1 mile from the highway with the last 1/4 mile dirt road. If you are looking for an over the river and through the woods getaway experience on the Big Island this is the place for you.
NOTE : Flooding may and does occur in North Hilo and the Big Island. Please use Extreme caution when near, swimming in or crossing any waterway. 4x4 or jeep is recommended for exploring back road areas on the island and to get to my place. 4x4 is required to access Wapio Valley, Green Sands Beach and Mauna Kea . Book a cheap car and ask for a jeep up grade when you arrive to get good rates on jeeps. Aloha and be Safe !

Great place amazing views and property!! We were so happy we had the place to ourselves, people staying in cabin didn't stay or I think privacy may have been an issue. Only complaint was no wifi at all and we needed it to stay in touch with our kids back home and babysitters, th…

A sweet spot, if you really like animals, horses, chickens peacocks, it's pretty cool. The house is spacious and the kitchen well-stocked. The decor is very horse-centric, and there's a talking deer head in the living room that is very funny for the kids. The best part of the…

What a wonderful slice of heaven. Fruit trees everywhere, loved waking up in the morning and picking fresh fruit for breakfast. Place cooled down nicely at night to sleep. Kitchen was well equipped.

We stayed a week and enjoyed the waterfalls, animals, the surrounding area and cooking most nights. The kitchen was very well-stocked. The generator was not difficult to deal with at all. The water pressure in the shower was a bit of a bummer but all in all, this was a nice place…

Great place! Beautiful scenery and the horses and waterfalls were amazing! Getting there is an adventure in and of itself-you definitely need 4 wheel drive, especially when it's raining. The chickens and peacocks were fun to watch and the horses were very friendly.
