We had never stayed at Kangaroo Point before and what a pleasant experience it was. Eddie responded instantly to my preliminary inquiries which made our decision to stay much easier.
Eddie's apartment was perfect for our needs. It was very spacious, and more importantly, very quiet. A restaurant, coffee shop, mini supermarket and bottle shop are a short walk away. I also recommend you visit the Eagles Nest bar on top of the Point apartments nearby for a Sunday afternoon session.
We loved the balcony looking over the river to New Farm, but most of all we loved the river and the free (yes free!) City Hopper ferry service.
We went for many walks in and out of the city on either side, and also took the ferry enjoying the views from the top deck.
As well as the dockside terminal, it is only a 5 minute walk to the Thornton st terminal on the other side of the point.
The ferries run every 30 minutes with various stops from North Quay to Sydney St New Farm between 6am and midnight, seven days a week. You can hop on, do the circuit and end up back where you started. It has to be one of Brisbane's best kept secrets.
We'll be back for sure
