Charming cabin that fits up to six people. Please be advised that it is a rather small cabin and not a house, so if you are six adults and not used to Scandinavian cabins it may feel a bit tight. Toilet in the cabin and access to a shower/sauna in an adjacent building and a gazebo in the garden. The cabin was entirely redecorated and a new kitchen installed in September 2019. Most furniture is from 2016. Possible to get to it by public transportation, but even better if you have access to a car.

The space
Charming cabin that fits up to six people. Toilet in the cabin and access to a shower/sauna in an adjacent building. New living room furniture installed in March 2016 (sofa bed, dinner table w chairs, cabinets, rug).

The cabin is located in our garden right by the water and has a sauna/shower in a freestanding adjacent cabin. Great view of Vårgärdssjön and you can jump into the water straight from the jetty. Free WiFi.

Full access to the cabin, shower/sauna, and the jetty. You can also borrow our barbecue (Weber basic model) as much as you would like. Finally we have two sea kayaks and an inflatable dinghy with oars that you should feel free to use if they are not used by a family member.

We will try to help you as much as we can and to the best of our ability. We know the surrounding area and Stockholm very well after having lived approx. 20 years in Stockholm including 10 years in Saltsjöbaden.

Saltsjöbaden is a beautiful neighborhood and our house is located approx. 18km from Slussen in downtown Stockholm. The area is known for its easy access to the archipelago and adjacency to the Nacka Nature Reserve. There are also a couple of small cosy restaurants and cafés in Saltsjöbaden that are easily accessible by car or bike (may be a bit too far to walk).

You can park your car in our driveway. Downtown Stockholm is easily accessible by taking the Saltsjöbanan train from Solsidan to Slussen (30 minutes). The Solsidan train station is located 1km from our house. Until August 16 2015 the train has been replaced by a bus due to some maintenance and repair work on the railway track.

Free WiFi recently installed on August 6, 2015.

After having traveled around the world for many years I settled in Saltsjöbaden just 20km from downtown Stockholm ten years ago together with my wife, our three children, and two cats. We live in a charming wooden house that dates back to 1916 and that is located right by the water and that has got its own separate guest house. In my spare time I am a passionate triathlete and an extremely untalented golfer. I also enjoy wine tasting, cooking and meeting new people from all of the world. Language-wise I am fluent in English and all Scandinavian languages. My French is pretty good too and if you're patient we could also communicate in German, Italian, and even Russian.
