The space
We are committed to keeping our guests safe from Covid-19 and have signed up to Airbnb’s safe cleaning policy. Every stay will be reset to a totally clean stay. The property will be deep cleaned and will it be unoccupied for 24 hours before and after any overnight stay to enable the property to air. For this time I will not be able to provide breakfast goods such as milk, bread and eggs so to protect you.
You can preorder a food hamper of your choice from our lovely local shop that you can collect when you stay. Please call Cattistock stores on 01300 320250 and let them know you’re staying at Sally and Bob’s home.
Please bring salt, pepper and all essentials for cooking food as no food can be shared from previous guests. Please remove your food when you depart. I will also provide all new cleaning and dishwashing materials. Please wipe all surfaces when you depart. Thank you...
Willow annexe is attached to our home and is tucked away in the garden. You have a fully functional open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The annexe has one bedroom ( DOUBLE BED 4’6 with Feather bedding) and a shower room, with a brand new Mira shower, lovely! You have your own front door and you will have total privacy and ability to come and go as you wish. We have recently completely refurbished and equipped the annexe so that our guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay.
There is also a rustic decking area in the garden with a lounging area, table and umbrella, please feel free to use this, It has some great views across the valley and towards the church. We can also make a BBQ available for your use.
We have free range Bantams in the garden who go about their business!
We have 2 cats Nipper and Queenie, they are friendly and will often be seen sunning themselves in the garden. We have a lurcher called Gracie who is friendly. We will consider one well behaved dog staying with you in the annexe, this would need to be agreed before you arrived, please message us before you book.
Cattistock is a thriving village with lots of amenities, the Fox and Hounds pub in the village is run by Liz and Scott who are very friendly and serve good pub food. The village has a Flower festival in August, see village web site for full list of events. There is a beautiful church in the village, a shop with tea room and post office.
We will operate a minimum 2 night weekend (Friday-Sunday) During the week days we are very happy to accept one night bookings.
Guest access
There are 5 steps up to the garden from the drive and so our property is not accessible for people with mobility issues. sorry! You have your own front door to the Willow annexe, through the garden and to the left hand side of the house. The annexe provides a fully functional kitchen and shower room, with new Mira shower. You have a fan assisted oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
The annexe has oil fired central heating. The shower is a newly fitted instant electric Mira shower so you have a hot shower when you wish.
Check in from 4pm only.
Other things to note
Please note we are situated in an elevated position and there are steps up to the property, so unfortunately our property is not wheelchair friendly. Sorry
We do have some Bantam hens, There are a number of cockerels in the village and they like to have a crow at each other now and then.

Cattistock is situated in West Dorset, a beautiful part of the country! From here there is great access to the Jurassic coast which is 12 miles away at Charmouth and West Bay. There are lovely towns such as Dorchester, Beaminster, Bridport and Weymouth on your doorstep.

We have a village shop which has a post office and an active church, St Peter and St Paul, which has some fabulous illustrations in the bell tower by William Morris.
We have a lovely village pub The Fox and Hounds, they serve good food at reasonable prices, it is however advisable to book if you fancy an evening meal especially Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.
During the day we have a village Tea Room run by Monique which is situated in the village shop. Monique serves yummy homemade cakes, sausage rolls, filled baguettes and more.
Cattistock village has a fantastic play park area for children opposite the Fox and House pub, the park has a zip wire, swings, climbing frame, slide, bouncy swings, see-saw walk, and spinning roundabout. The park is well kept and dogs are not allowed in for children’s safety. In the near future there will be an adult boule pitch also.
Maiden Newton is the next village 2 miles away and has two shops, a garage, fish and chip shop, a pub called the Chalk and Cheese and a Newsagent with cafe.
