The handful of restaurants and bars in the area connect you with great food and people, while the high speed internet connects you with the most important callings back home. And with a car, or in the hands of an amazing Belizean tour guide, you can easily drive to natural and historic attractions.

The space
This is the main floor residence of the Joya del Mar beach house. It's a large 1-bedroom unit with a comfortable living room where you can snuggle up at the end of a day of working, beach combing or touring. The large kitchen is equipped for preparing full meals, with full size appliances and ample cooking utensils. You can dine outside on the deck/balcony and watch the world go by.

You’ll have the entire main terrace all to yourselves — a spacious, breezy spot to relax, dine, or watch the waves — with easy, direct access to the shared beachfront just steps away.

Other things to note
Joya del Mar is meant to feel easy. While the beachfront may be shared with just a few other guests on the property, your main‑floor residence and the wide terrace are entirely your own. It’s a quiet space to unwind after a day of exploring, working, or simply breathing in the sea air.

Maya Beach is a small, easygoing community on the Placencia Peninsula, known for its long stretch of natural shoreline, great restaurants, and relaxed beach bars. It’s an ideal home base if you’re dreaming of both jungle adventures and time on the water — everything from snorkeling and diving to fishing and river tours is within reach. Placencia Village sits about 8 miles south, with Seine Bight just 4 miles away, so you’re close to more dining, culture, and activity when you want it.

I am marine biologist and love nature. Originally from Austria we traveled a lot and lived in different countries but somehow Belize doesn't let us go :-) We, my wife Simone and I, live in Maya Beach. For years we have now been working as property managers for several properties in the area. We love diving, dining out and a cold beer on our dock overlooking the beautiful canal just steps away from the Placencia lagoon. We are very much looking forward to hosting you in the small country of Belize.
