Interaction with guests
We travel for work often and always let guests know about our availability if it turns out we won't be around. We can socialize as much as our guests would like. Tony works 8-5 and I freelance so my schedule is more flexible.
Your bedroom and bathroom are in the back of the house for added privacy. We always aim for 5-star reviews so please let us know if you need anything! We're here to answer to any questions about the house, restaurants, and nearby activities/attractions.
Other things to note
Getting here from the SMF airport:
Uber is the easiest way. You can also take a Super Shuttle from the airport. There is a desk by baggage claim or you can book it (email hidden). Super Shuttle should cost $23 each way for the 1st passenger and $11 for the next passenger. You can also search the Internet for "Super Shuttle discount" for the latest coupon codes. The trip is 14.5 mi (23.3km) and about 18 mins. Traffic times are 7:30am-9am and 3pm-6:45pm. A taxi will cost around $60 so we don't recommend that.
Click here to see our listing for both bedrooms together (suitable for 4 people): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7699217
If you rent both bedrooms, you will have the entire back of the house to yourselves, including a bathroom.
Enjoy your stay!! Common courtesy is really all we're looking for from our guests and we will extend the same in return. No loud music, no smoking, no pets (we have Lambchop, our Goldendoodle), no unauthorized guests (this is our home, not a hotel), no drugs, take care of the room and furnishings provided, wash your own dishes, etc.
Please keep the front and side door closed at all times (except when you are going through it), so the dog doesn't get out. Please do not feed the dog table scraps.
Please do not leave wet items on the wood floors, furniture or bed covers. It ruins them. Coasters are provided for your glasses and there are hooks in the bathroom to hang wet things.
If you cook, please clean up after yourself: please wash pots, pans, and chef's knives by hand and place them on the drying rack. Plates, dishes, glasses, silverware can go in the dishwasher.
At check out time:
Put towels in the hamper located in the closet.
We will take sheets off the bed.
Please remember to leave your room key in the room! There is a $25 charge for keys that are not returned.
We are happy-go-lucky folks, avid bicyclists (Tony rode his bike from Seattle to Santa Cruz), and scooterists (we rode our Vespas through Mexico in 2014). We also love to travel (we've both backpacked around 21 countries) and enjoy the Northern California outdoor lifestyle.
A few of our favorite international cities so far are:
San Sebastian/Barcelona, Spain
We have been hosts since 2014 and can answer any questions you have about Sacramento restaurants or other nearby attractions. We're both from the Bay Area so we can answer those questions too. Our room is in the front of the house which gives our guests privacy if they'd like it.
Our sweet, calm, hypoallergenic Goldendoodle, Lambchop, can't wait to meet you (and ask you to rub her belly).
