Guest access
Enjoy an evening stroll up into the "back 40" acres or simply tour the barnyard and meet and greet all the 2 and 4 legged animals that make Moose Meadows Farm their home.

We ask that our guests do NOT invite their guests to our property / home without discussing it with us first. We may allow for 1 - 2 adult guests.

During your stay
Both Heloise and Ted, your hosts, are able to provide you with information on the area and make some recommendations on places to visit that are close by. Many beautiful lakes, rivers, and trails in the area along with well known historic sites.

Other things to note
Staying on a farm can be exciting. There are many 2 and 4 legged critters to spend time with. These animals can also be vocal. Roosters do crow at night sometimes as do geese honk and donkeys bray. We try to encourage our animal friends to be considerate of our guests who stay the night but sometimes they feel the need to vocalise.

Although the Groom's Quarters has many modern conveniences and is very comfortable, there is no plumbed in running water on-site.

Neighbourhood highlights

Moose Meadows Farm is located 15 km. west of the City of Quesnel in the rural community of Bouchie Lake. Although the area is well developed, it is rural living at its best. As such, we share the world with many species of wildlife. In Bouchie Lake there are 2 retail outlets (Country Store; Convenience Store / Gas Station / Restaurant); 1 community hall; a fire station; and a school. All of these are 5 km. west of the farm. There are several lakes and creeks in the area. Purser Creek flows through the farm right behind the barn whereas the closest lake is Milburn Lake. Both it and Bouchie Lake (5 km. from the farm) are excellent for fishing. Please note although the Groom's Quarters B&B is fully equipped with modern amenities, it does not have running water and /or a bathroom in the suite. We are able to accommodate horse too... ask about our Bed & Bale option.

Lives in Bouchie Lake, Canada
Both myself and my husband Ted are Foresters from British Columbia, Canada. we live the small rural community of Bouchie Lake 15 km. west of Quesnel in north Central BC. We too are AirBnB Hosts. Our trip to Scotland in the summer of 2019 allowed us a chance to try AirBnB "from the other side" and it has been a fabulous experience. We also "AirBnB'ed" in Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) in the fall of 2019; a place we wish to return to soon. We have met many wonderful people and stayed in all sorts of accommodation ranging from fully equipped houses where we had the run, to rooms in a private house, to private rooms in a "hostel". We live on a farm (Moose Meadows Farm) and enjoy our lives with many 4-legged friends. We love to travel and so far have traveled, together, to the UK 2x and across Canada several times. In 2018, we "yellowheaded" it to Winnipeg and back to visit a friend. Ted is originally from New Brunswick, Canada whereas Heloise grew up in south-western British Columbia. Heloise has also travelled to New Zealand and continental Europe long before AirBnB existed.
