Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Escape to this off-grid - yet luxurious - tiny cabin, nestled among the cedars. Complete with outdoor hot tub, this is a getaway where you will truly relax and restore. Wifi & a place to charge your devices included. Designed for solo retreats, couple’s (or friend) getaways, and young family adventures.

NOTE: The 180-square foot cabin and hot tub comfortably fits 2 adults or a family of 3-4 (kids ages 6-12). This is a "tiny living" meets "elevated glamping" experience!

PROPERTY
The cabin is located at the entrance of the nature-immersed 4-acre property. Your hosts live onsite & you may see them around the property tending to the homestead (gardens+chickens). Your guest area is at a distance from the main house, and is secluded by a perennial garden berm, engulfed in views of the cedar forest. Your privacy is respected.

HOT TUB
The Goodland wood-fired tub is nestled in the cedars and is solely for guest use - it's all yours! Kindling and firewood is provided and a brief tutorial on how to heat the tub is provided. Stoking the fire while sipping on your favourite beverage is a beautiful way to transition into the Kinfolk "slow+steady" philosophy. In the summer months, give yourself 1-2 hours to heat the tub. In the winter months, 3-4 hours.

SLEEPING
All provided linens are 100% cotton. The loft space is ideal for children and has a firm queen mattress. The ceiling is slanted and may feel too cozy for adults (personal preference). On the main floor, the queen bed has a memory-foam mattress.

KITCHENETTE
The kitchenette includes a gorgeous live-edge counter top with mini sink. Drinking water is provided using a Berkey water filter. Water for the gravity spout (for doing dishes, hand-washing, etc) is also provided. There is no running water, but there is an exterior water spout 20 feet from the cabin (connected to drilled well) to refill water should it run out during your stay. There is a 2-burner propane stove for making simple meals, coffee, and tea. Freshly ground coffee is provided as well as a pour-over coffee caraffe. The cabin is equipped with a bar fridge (no freezer), silverware, dish ware, knives, cutting boards, small pots and pans, and all basic cooking utensils, including dish towels and biodegradable soap. Our half bathroom is fitted with a compost toilet, complete with vent fan to keep the space well ventilated (stink-free!). Toilet paper is provided. Please note that that the bathroom does not have a door, but is completely private with a wall and curtain.

OUTDOOR SHOWER
MAY-SEPT ONLY! Private outdoor custom-built shower available in the warmer months. With on-demand hot water and complete privacy, the shower is steps from the cabin and hot tub.

Guest access
OUTDOOR ACCESS
There is a 40 foot path from the parking area to the cabin. To enter the cabin there are two steps.

LOFT + LOFT LADDER
To access the sleeping loft, there is a 5' ladder. The loft is ideal for children ages 6 and up. It is a slanted ceiling, ranging from 3' in height to 1'. Guests need to feel confident in their ability to climb a ladder in order to safely use the loft. The upper loft is not recommended for children under 6 years old. Adult supervision of children going up and down the loft ladder, is recommended.

FAMILIES
Our daughters are 10 and 12 years old, and love meeting other children and showing them the fun spots around the property (zipline, collecting chicken eggs, etc) - let us know if that interests you. In winter, there is a little toboggan hill that is perfect for kids. Please let us know if you'd like to borrow some toboggans. If you're wanting some quality family time, we totally support that & will give you complete privacy.

NO PETS
Please note that there are no pets allowed. We had an unfortunate event with a guest's dog who killed some of our chickens. Accidents happen and we want to avoid any other mishaps. Thank you for respecting that we have animals onsite that need our care and protection.

Other things to note
Please note that your hosts live onsite & you may see them around the property tending to the homestead. Your guest area is secluded from the main house by a perennial garden berm, and cocooned in the cedar forest. Your privacy is respected.
