About this listing
Located on the Plateau on the cusp of the McGill ghetto and 1.5 blocks from St Laurent Blvd this is an airy, quiet and well maintained space. Designed with class and comfort in mind it's a boutique-y space in an eminently walkable neighbourhood.
Location and acoustics: we're right in the heart of the city, but the buidling's courtyard is remarkably quiet. You'll see green out the back windows and vibrant streets out the front and around the corner. You're an easy walk to McGill and the festival streets and, yes, the local nightlife.
You'll have the place to yourself, but we'd ask you to stay out of the basement (low ceilings and some hanging nails) and off the patio (our neighbours go to bed early).
Interaction with guests
We live a few blocks away and we're easy to get in touch with.
Other things to note
We don't have A/C, so on those handful of steamy night we recommend you do like the locals and stay out late sitting on a terrasse. During the day there is a breeze through the apartment which keeps it cool.
Please stay off the patio.
No smoking anywhere: not inside, not on the patio, not on the stoop, not in the courtyard.
No noise that can be heard outside or upstairs.
I’m a quiet, non-smoking, generally overworked vegetarian. Depending on the time of year, I'm either an exceptionally well-read waiter, or a university teacher with a curious CV. If I'm coming to stay with you it's probably because I'll be working in an archive in your city. I’m an informal and easy-going type, quick to laugh, with few hang-ups. I tend to travel very light, and often. I like to walk places and drink coffee outside.
