This recently built comfy, one bedroom cottage is located in Montecito, one and a half miles from the beach and three miles to the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. The cottage sits on a one acre property studded with oak trees.
The living area has sky lights, a sofa and arm chair, coffee table, and a 37 inch flat screen TV. Adjacent is the dining area and the galley kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, and coffee maker. You'll find cooking utensils and pots and pans when you feel like having a home cooked meal.
The separate bedroom has a king size bed and large dresser. The bathroom has a shower, a large closet (where you'll find a hair dryer and iron) and lots of natural light. An air mattress with bedding is also available to accommodate a third person, if needed.
The cottage has a unique location, with very little street traffic, perfect for a quiet getaway. The upper Montecito village is less than a half mile away, where you'll find restaurants, boutiques, a cafe/bakery, and a grocery store.
For potential guests who would like to know the effect of the January 2018 mudslides, the guest cottage and the neighborhood in general emerged from the disaster completely undamaged. Montecito as a whole was closed down, however, by the closure of the freeway and priority given to rescue and recovery work. By early February, the freeway was open again, as were the main access roads in Montecito; most businesses and restaurants had reopened (except the famous San Ysidro Ranch, which was badly damaged); and life for most had returned to normal.
