The space

This recently built comfy, one bedroom cottage is located in Montecito, one and a half miles from the beach and three miles to the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. The cottage sits on a one acre property studded with oak trees.

The living area has sky lights, a sofa and arm chair, coffee table, and a 37 inch flat screen TV. Adjacent is the dining area and the galley kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, and coffee maker. You'll find cooking utensils and pots and pans when you feel like having a home cooked meal.

The bedroom has a comfy king size bed and large dresser. The bathroom has a shower, a large closet (where you'll find a hair dryer and iron) and lots of natural light. An air mattress with bedding is also available to accommodate a third person in the living room, if needed.

The cottage has a unique location, with very little street traffic, perfect for a quiet getaway. The upper Montecito village is less than a half mile away, where you'll find restaurants, boutiques, a cafe/bakery, and a grocery store. Drop by for a glass of wine at the famous San Isidro Ranch, which is a few minutes up the road. You will also have access to nearby walking and hiking trails.

The cottage was confortable, clean and private. The location was great and we especially enjoyed the lovely neighborhood for talking walks and the fabulous Casa de la Maria retreat center just 1/2 mile up the road. Highly recommend.

Eileen and Gerry were very warm and welcoming and we loved staying at their cottage. The pictures pretty much represent the space, and the location is great for exploring Montecito and Santa Barbara. The breakfast items provided were a nice plus. Also, we left behind some clothes by accident and Eileen was kind enough to offer to ship it back to us. Very nice, Thanks again to our hosts!

The cottage was cute and cozy. My husband and I stayed there while in town for the Avon 39 mile walk. I wanted a comfortable place to rest and recharge before the walk. After walking 26 miles on day one I found the bed really comfortable and just what I needed to help me recover for day 2. The space was warm and inviting.

Breakfast foods are provided and are delicious. Less than 4 min car ride to local beach. 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara.

This is a great place. Quick drive to downtown nightlife, but a super quiet place. The bed is so comfortable and the house was perfect. It is an awesome place to stay. Thanks for a great trip!

Eileen's place is in the absolute perfect location in montecito. Close to Wendy foster and the little Shops, yet tucked away enough to feel woodsy and cozy. Will definitely be returning. Great deal !

The cottage is cozy and perfect for a couple or single who want to be in a beautiful setting away from the touristy areas of Santa Barbara. There are beautiful places to walk to from the property and the city of SB is within a few minutes drive. The only "inconvenience" is the wifi only works outside.

My husband Gerry & I moved from the Washington D.C. area after more than 30 years working for the Foreign Service, with assignments in the Caribbean, South America, Africa & Europe. Gerry was raised in Santa Barbara so we decided to retire here. I speak Spanish and French, understand some Italian. We enjoy walking, good movies and dining out.
