Named after Julia Child's charming house in Provence, France, our brand new apartment is furnished with everything you need and is a designer's dream. Located in the heart of the popular Logan Circle neighborhood, this apartment is perfect for anyone looking to experience all D.C. has to offer.

The space

Our 600 sq. ft. one bedroom, luxury apartment will make you feel right at home. You'll instantly notice the decor is a mix of rustic and homey meets industrial and modern. As you walk in, you'll see a nice little entry with spots for coats, bags, and a bench to sit down and put your shoes in before you head out for the day. As you walk down the hall you'll hit our lovely bathroom, with a full size vanity and tub with Moen fixtures. As you keep walking down the hall it'll be hard to miss our sliding barn bedroom door... the first thing we did when we moved in was painted a giant D.C. flag on it. Finally you'll be in our kitchen which opens up to the living room.

The kitchen is brand new, modern, and well equipped. We are both very into food and cooking, so you'll find out drawers and cabinets should have more than you could ask for.

The living room has a VERY comfortable leather couch, perfect for relaxing after a long day or catching a nap in. There's also a 48" LED TV with an XBox One that has Netflix, Hulu, and loads of apps for streaming TV.

Our apartment is well stocked and while we want to share our lovely home with others, we ask that you be respectful of our space and what is in it. We would love to host clean and friendly people. we know that you'll enjoy our apartment, neighborhood, and this great city!

Guest access

As you arrive, you'll pick up a FOB at the front desk that will give you access to our apartment, the front and rear doors of the building, and the gym. Access is 24/7 and the concierge is available from 8AM - 10PM M-Saturday, and 10AM - 4PM on Sunday. Please be aware only one FOB is available for our guests since we hold on to the other one in case of emergency.

Interaction with guests

We will not be in town while our apartment is listed. If you plan on arriving early in the morning, we may be there to greet you, but generally we are traveling while our apartment is up. If there are any issues, we can direct you to someone close by, and the concierge of our building is always available as well.

We are MORE than happy to offer advice, recommendations, or answer any questions you have though... especially if it's about the local food scene!

Absolutely no pets or smoking. The building is quiet and very clean. Please respect the building and neighbors. The building is well monitored. This is great because we all feel very secure, but keep in mind there are a lot of security cameras and the management/staff stay aware of building activities. Don't worry they are VERY friendly!

The location is perfect for doing business in and visiting the city. I loved the proximity to restaurants, Whole Foods around the corner, public transit, and the lively urban atmosphere. Luke's communication was super responsive and all instructions were clear. The apartment is super cute and comfy. One warning is that if you are a person with allergies, you might have trouble since they do have a dog when they are there, as stated in the description. Also, if you are chemically sensitive, check with Luke about whether they have toned down the detergents in their linens since the time of this review. I had a hard time with that as well as the allergens in the apartment. If you are coming on business, check with Luke about providing closet space or at least hangers for the hooks in the front hallway, and if you need a blow dryer you will need to bring your own unless they are providing one since this review. Also, if you think you will need two keys, check with Luke if that has become an option. I came with my mom and as we were doing things independently, it was difficult not to have an extra one. Overall though, this is a great place and good deal.

We arrived to see a basket of coffee and tea and a list of the amenities and instructions for checkout. That really helped streamline things for checking out. The apartment was just like the pictures. Views for days. My fiance and I sat and people watched after we finished doing our tour of DC every day. In the morning the sun would rise over the buildings in the front room and drinking a coffee and watching the sunrise was one of my favorite parts about staying here. The location is perfect. There is a host of bars and delicious restaurants in the area. LA fitness not too far and in the mornings it's beautiful to jog. We didn't run into any neighbors on our stay and we were there for 5 days. We did however speak with the front desk people who were there on the weekdays. Not on Sunday. The place is very secure and comfortable. Logan circle is loaded with great restaurants to try and things to do. Very close to everything. We jumped on the bus and was able to get to all of the monuments and museums with no problem. Some days it rained so we took an uber and the most expensive uber ride we had was 9 dollars to the Nationals stadium. Apartment is in a great spot. The Thai restaurants downstairs are awesome (Thai Tanic). The Pig (restaurant) is also right downstairs and they have this thick cut slice of bacon that will make you fly to DC just to order it. This was an amazing stay. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city. Such a great find.

We cannot say enough good things about Luke's apartment. Communication with him prior to arrival was always immediate, and responsive to our questions. Getting the key at check-in was seamless. The apartment itself was exactly as described and pictured.....very secure, beautifully furnished and decorated, welcoming, comfortable, and with great views of 14th Street from multiple windows. To say it is in the center of Logan Circle activity would be an understatement. Steps from your door are great bars and restaurants, and you are only a short walk to Dupont Circle and downtown. Prepare to be spoiled, because after you stay here, you won't want to stay anywhere else in DC!

I don't think we could have done better! The decor was sharp, the neighborhood was lively and well located, amenities were well laid out, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, it was very clean, and the Julia Child inspired name was such a pleasant surprise. In the morning, we walked past the White House, past the Washington Monument, through the American History Smithsonian (including Julia Child's Cambridge kitchen!), walked the National Mall up to the Lincoln Memorial, enjoyed a beautiful sunset behind the monument, and stopped at Whole Foods on the way back to the apartment to utilize the fantastic kitchen to finally make a home cooked meal. Luke was easy to work with and quickly communicative. The only downside (which is basically city-wide) was parking. We street parked the first night and parked at the DoubleTree the second night ($41). All in all, La Peetch afforded us a magnificent, inexpensive DC experience; We would definitely stay again!
