Originally built around 1865, our guest house has been both a neighborhood store and a small apartment. It's now been brought back to life after a half century of neglect. A full bedroom plus a sleeper couch make it a perfect home base for any Athens getaway. Pure Southern comfort.

The space
So this house was all but ready to fall over from years of termite damage, abandon and neglect. With a little bit of vision, we were able to raise this beautiful piece of neighborhood history from the ashes. We accentuated the old bones in the common area by raising the ceiling to the height of the roofline and exposed the beautiful old rafters, but kept the original beaded board ceiling in the master bedroom. Every little nook has been patched and insulated for ultimate modern comfort with a historic feel. We hope you'll find that we ended up with something that's just the right blend of utility and southern charm.

Guest access
The house has a digital lock on the front door, I'll share your code a few days before you're arrival. The whole space is yours. Enjoy

Other things to note
The guest house is walking distance from quite a few good restaurants. Heirloom cafe has a full bar and serves dinner and brunch. Get a discount when you tell them you walked over. There’s also a brand new fast casual place that just opened called Maepole. Super fresh, super great. In the other direction down our street is a neighborhood bbq joint, The White Tiger. A little further still and you're in Normaltown. Stop in at Normal Bar and Hi-Lo lounge for a drink and grab some good eats at Ike&Jane's, Automatic Pizza or Agua Linda. Urban Sanctuary Spa, the ultimate in relaxation, is just a block away. You're also in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Athens, the Boulevard Historic district. A fifteen minute walk down Boulevard takes right to Downtown Athens.

Our little guest house is in one of the most beautiful and prized neighborhoods in Athens, the Boulevard Historic district. Filled increasingly with young families, but also a good mix of College students, artists and eccentrics. I encourage you to walk everywhere and explore the neighborhood. There are restaurants, bars, great gas station food and coffee roasters to be found. A beautiful 15 minute walk takes you past some of the most gorgeous houses in Athens and right downtown.

Hi, my name is Nicolas. I've been living in Athens for a little while now and I have this really old house in a really nice neighborhood. The main house was built somewhere around the 1860s. It took almost 2 years to renovate along with the guest quarters, and you can stay here if you like. It's really cozy and great and near everything you want to go see in Athens. Don't feel like going out, well do like we do and throw a dance party in the living room, the fun is certain to come to you. Or just take it easy and enjoy the sweet Southern life. Hope to hear from you thanks NC
