This modern *two bedroom* flat has everything you need to live comfortably while you're in Jerusalem. One king size bed, second bedroom has 2 single beds. Centrally located very close to Emek Refaim, for restaurants and nightlife. Close to shopping in Talpiot. Large park nearby. Plenty of street parking available. Laundry room, and a full size kosher kitchen. Whether you're visiting family, working or studying, you will enjoy your home away from home with us in comfort.

The space

This is the perfect space for your week or more stay in Jerusalem. We are happy to accommodate you with a price plan if you need the space for multiple weeks, a month, or longer. Ask!

Light bright, clean and centrally located, this two bedroom apartment has windows with lots of greenery as you look around the neighborhood. One bedroom has a king size bed with a firm, pillow top mattress. The second bedroom has a unique bed that can be either two twin beds or it can snap together to be a double bed (check out the photos to see it set up both ways), also pillow top mattresses. The living room has a futon that opens into a queen size bed. The dining table seats six comfortably and can open. This place is light and bright with "treesim" or shutters on the bedrooms and living room. There is an air conditioning unit called a "mazgan" in the living room which can heat or cool. Each of the two bedrooms also has a "mazgan" unit for your comfort in summer or winter. There are fans in both bedrooms and a ceiling fan in the living room to keep you comfortable in Israeli summers.

All the greenery that surrounds this apartment houses birds who will sing cheerfully every morning. If you look out the dining room/living room window, you might see the flock of green parakeets who live across the street.

The kitchen has all you need, oven (meat), toaster oven (dairy), full refrigerator, stovetop and microwave (dairy). Drawers contain foil, plastic wrap, sandwich baggies, etc. There are a few pots and pans, plates and flatware, all marked pareve, dairy, or meat.

It is important to note that you will come up flights of stairs. We are two flights up from the ground floor. (Not everyone will "get" this, but they are "easy" steps, meaning, they are not deep so they are comfortable to ascend.) Because it's on the top floor, it is quieter, breezier, and brighter.

There are only two apartments per floor which means there are only four apartments from our entrance.

Guest access

It can sometimes be difficult to find parking in Jerusalem, but there is plenty of free parking on the street in front of our building.

Wireless internet, washer/dryer. There is a garden area in front that does not have chairs or benches.

Interaction with guests

Yaron will answer the phone to help you with your needs. This apartment is your home away from home as it is fully and exclusively your space during your stay.

Other things to note

We keep a shelf with a variety of books for you to enjoy while you stay with us. One shelf has books to help you tour Israel and Jerusalem. Previous guests have added to our collection of books and touring info, so you may find something old or new.

You may have noticed that we don't have as many reviews as other places. This is in part because we only rent for longer term (which is why we have such a low price for a two bedroom place), so we don't have as many guests. Sometimes we stay here ourselves. We are always adding more amenities or comforts!

Everything about the stay from beginning to end was perfect and our apartment was the envy of all our classmates. Yaron was incredibly kind and was extremely helpful with my numerous questions - he even generously offered to host me for a Saturday lunch in his home in Tzfat. Would highly recommend staying with Yaron if you're in Jerusalem for any period of time!

This apartment is beautifully decorated, well stocked, with attention to small details. Really, we could not believe how well stocked this apartment was. From kosher kehillim, to toothbrushes and slippers, to books and linens. It was truly delightful. Everything you need for a kosher kitchen and Shabbat if you need. The appliances and furniture are new and clean. The apartment is also clean. We stayed with our children age 6 and eight and our 1 year old. There were 2 comfortable beds in one room for our older children (such nice, bright, cheerful linen) and a king size bed with a beautiful quilt. My husband and I slept with our 1 year old in the king size bed. There are air conditioners and fans in each room. There is a Shabbat light for the hallway. About a 20 minute walk to meek Ephraim. 5 minute walk to public transport and depending on where, about 30 minutes walk to katamon or Baka. Also about a 10 minute walk to a few shwarma/falafel shops and a pizza shop and mokelet (mini market). Be prepared to walk up four flights but they are little flights in context of Israeli buildings. Nice part of town and would definitely stay here again/recommend.

The apartment was very comfortable and was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Yaron was always available for us, for any help or issues we had. The apartment was in a very nice neighborhood, and it was easy to travel anywhere in Jerusalem from that location

Yaron was a fantastic host. He kept in touch before the trip to check what our needs were and from the day we arrived in Israel he made sure we were all setup and taken care of at his place. He also checked up with us occasionally to make sure everything was good. The apartment was great and it was our home away from home. It had everything we needed for our extended trip to Jerusalem. It was comfortable, clean and simple, nicely decorated. The location and neighborhood is also great, very easy to access the bus, close to the corner stores and not too far from the supermarket, nearby Emek Refaim, or the walking path to the first station is a great place to walk at anytime. We would definitely come stay again and would recommend this place to anyone else wanting to visit Jerusalem.

We had a wonderful Rosh Hashana in Yaron's apartment. It is in a great neighborhood close to many different synagogues as well as shops to pick up food before the holiday. Yaron's apartment is fully stocked with everything you may want/need and his helpful notes throughout the apartment make it feel like he is walking you through everything. A great kosher apartment that is perfect for your stay over Shabbat or chag in Jerusalem! We would definitely come back!

We enjoyed our time at Yaron and Laya's apartment. It is very pleasant and clean, nicely decorated, beautifully furnished, and has everything for a super comfortable stay. The Kosher kitchen is spacious and well equipped, including everything needed for celebrating/observing Shabbat - So kind and thoughtful! Great welcoming hosts! Great like-home place! Highly recommended!

Yaron User ProfileYaron is a superhost.

We are an American couple living the dream in the Holy Land. Yaron has a real estate business in Tzfat. Laya is an author (also known as Aunt Laya). She facilitates writing retreats and nurturing retreats for women to renew themselves.

Sometimes we travel together, sometimes separately. We've had bed and breakfasts on and off for over 20 years. So we hope you'll find us to be respectful guests and a gracious hosts.

We are Torah observant Jews, meaning we keep the biblical laws for keeping Sabbath, and dietary laws. So we eat only kosher food and that narrows where and what we can eat. Laya is health oriented and that narrows it even more!

A current favorite quote is: "Some of your best memories haven't happened yet!" We like the attitude of looking forward to good things in life. We hope your stay with us will provide you with a beautiful memory or two.

We have two, beloved, grown kids.
