Our apt is situated in Copenhagen's vibrant Vesterbro district. Located on Vesterbrogade, our home is enclosed by a large garden and courtyard. Close to the city's action but shielded from the everyday hustle and bustle, giving it a laid back feel .

The space

The apt was converted from an old workshop, with high ceilings and two levels, with the sleeping area on the lower level. The apt is perfect for those with small children, the large enclosed garden/courtyard and play area means it is extremely safe. There are several steps up to our apt, however the elevator also allows for easy access.

Guest access

All rooms of the apt are open, including the garden and courtyard.

Maja and James were great! Their place was clean and much more spacious than I imagined. We were able to cook our own meals and enjoy Netflix. Great space, great location.

This was my second stay in Maja and James' apartment, who were very helpful and made every effort to ensure I had what I needed for my stay - James even offered the loan of his bike. The apartment - their home - is lovely and gives stayers a snapshot of what it's like to live in Copenhagen. The flat offers great value for money, is spacious and well equipped, plus the bed is very comfy. Vesterbro is a great area to be based - close to the centre, but with its own personality. (I particularly recommend checking out Enghave Plads, Istegade and the old Carlsberg brewary site.) You can walk bike or use the bus network to get around the city. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Maja's apartment is even nicer (and much biggger) than it looks in the photos! It is huge - with really high ceilings and has a lovely calm feeling to it. From the map it looks as though it's on the main road but it's set back in a building that's actually some way off it and it's really quiet. Maja was super helpful and responsive to texts and emails, getting back to me quickly when I was too dense to work her hob out. She also gave me lots of tips about stuff to do. Neighbourhood is perfect and really close to the centre of town too. I really couldn't fault this place - I would recommend it and would love to stay there again.

Maja's house was so lovely to stay in and exactly as described - gorgeous garden area and the building was nice and quiet, with friendly people. The neighbourhood of Vesterbro is perfectly located near lots of restaurants and bars and it is easy to get around. Maja and James gave us lots of great recommendations that they kindly marked out on a map for us! And all of these were amazing places to eat/drink/see/explore. (We otherwise would not have found them!) The house was brilliant for our short city break, and I would definitely stay here again!

Maja was really helpful in the run-up to my stay, providing tips on places to go in the local area. On arrival she gave me a warm welcome and showed me round the apartment, which is a spacious, stylish, cosy and inviting Danish home. Every morning I enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table to drink tea and eat a pastry from the bakery just 2 minutes away. The apartment had everything I needed, including a very comfortable bed and great shower. The location of Maja's apartment is perfect; it's very easy to walk, cycle or take the bus into Central Copenhagen. Vesterbro - where the apartment is located - has lots to offer, there are interesting places to visit (the old Carlsberg factory is beautiful and Vega on Enghavevej is a great example of a mid-centry building), plus superb cafes, bars and restaurants. Frederiksberg is also just a short walk away, with its lovely park (Frederiksberg Have) and grand streets, Gammel Kongevej and Frederiksberg Alle. Overall, a really wonderful place to stay in Copenhagen which I really recommend.

The apartment is located in a very good position and surrounded by nice buildings. The inner garden is cozy and the apartment itself is comfortable, tidy and clean. Maja left all the necessary stuff to make the guests feelings "at home".

A lovely, spacious apartment in the fantastic Vesterbro neighbourhood. Maja was on holiday when we arrived but made sure her neighbour was available to meet us with keys and instructions. Prior to arrival, Maja sent us a very helpful email detailing good places to eat and a contact for a friend if we needed more suggestions/assistance. The apartment was a great size and had everything we needed for a short, city break.
