A cosy room in a sunny, single level apartment, just 10 minutes walk from St Heliers village & beach in Auckland’s eastern suburbs. Enjoy a view of Auckland's iconic Rangitoto Island, while you soak up the sun and a glass of wine on the back deck. Located minutes from downtown Auckland, you'll be made to feel right at home, with access to all the amenities.

The space
This is a quiet, sunny two-bedroom apartment (1 of 3) with a modern kitchen and bathroom and a great outdoor living space.

The guest bedroom is small, with a comfortable double bed, a set of drawers and closet space for your convenience.

The outdoor deck soaks up the sun in summer and provides the perfect space to relax after your day exploring - you can enjoy a wine while watching the sunset.

I have recently acquired a very cute border terrier puppy called Lucy. Any potential guests will need to be puppy-friendly and understanding of Lucy’s needs :-)

My preference is to host guests for short term stays, from a few days up to a few weeks.

Where you’ll be

Auckland, New Zealand

St Heliers is a safe and popular beachside suburb located east of downtown Auckland. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the house down to the village and beach. On a sunny day, St Heliers village has a real holiday feel about it, with the harbour water sparkling, golden sand and lots of people out and about.

The beach is great for sunbathing, swimming and other water sports during the summer, with great views of Auckland’s iconic Rangitoto Island and the Hauraki Gulf.

Tamaki Drive follows the waterfront from St Heliers all the way into the city and is popular amongst walkers, bikers and runners. It’s a relatively short walk to neighbouring Kohimarama beach and the very popular Kohi Cafe. Further along is Mission Bay beach and Bastion Point, the latter of which offers fantastic views of the Auckland CBD and Sky Tower.

There is a range of eateries, to cater for all tastes, in St Heliers, Kohimarama and Mission Bay, including cafes, bars, fast food takeaways and fine dining. The local village sells almost everything - it includes a bakery, grocer, chemist, bookshop, clothes shops, a bank, travel agent, hairdresser, beautician, hardware store, library, a great ice cream shop and more!

And if you need more than plunger coffee to get you up and going in the morning, the nearest café is virtually just across the road from where you’ll be staying.

Nearby Dingle Dell Reserve and the Tahuna Torea Nature Reserve offer great walking/running tracks and the chance to explore some of New Zealand’s native flora and fauna.

Hi, I'm Jude I've done a bit of travelling myself (Europe, North America and wee bit of Asia) and I'm always keen to do more. I love living in New Zealand and I look forward to hosting travellers and showing them around my tiny bit of paradise. In my spare time I like to keep active, running, mountain biking and paddling. Summer is my favourite season when I spend a lot of time at the local beach and often enjoy a post work wine (or gin) soaking up the last rays of the sun on my back deck. My mantra is to lead an interesting life and that's meant lots of fun so far! Looking forward to meeting you!! :-)
