Welcome to San Francisco! You're going to love it here. If I'm renting this room it means i'm out traveling and am happy to help a fellow traveler enjoy a great local experience.

The space

The room is the largest of three bedrooms in the house. It's a cozy and relaxing spot to rest after a busy day exploring beautiful San Francisco.
This private bedroom is within a 2 unit building with a great traditional SF vibe that is geographically located in between the Marina, Russian Hill, Downtown, Embarcadero and Chinatown. It is also only a couple blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, Washington Sq. park. and within walking distance of the Ferry Building, Fort Mason, Lombard st, and the Financial district. There is also easy access to Walgreens, Safeway, Trader Joe's and 24 hour fitness. Washington Sq. park offers a great place to experience the classic vibes of North Beach which seems like it hasn't changed since the 1930's, but when it really matters you’ll be steps away from great restaurants (little Italy and Chinatown), great bars and boutiques! Sometimes you just want to walk from your place without taking a cab or bus to grab a drink or a bite to eat after those long days around the city.

Great for all local events, festivals and concerts! (Bay to Breakers, Treasure Island Music Festival, Outside Lands, Fillmore Street Jazz Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival, North Beach Fair, SF Gay Pride, Fleet Week, Cherry Blossom Festival, etc)

There are two other bed rooms in the flat. Both rooms are occupied with working professionals in their late 20's who live there permanently. They enjoy meeting new people and helping to host when they can. It's totally ok if you'd like to interact, yet the space can be very quiet throughout the day and night. So there is still enough privacy.

If you're hoping for a space where you either don't respect the community or plan to party, this place isn't for you. We respect your privacy and hold all guest accountable as well. :)

Since we are located literally a block away from all the action, it can be pretty lively here, with people walking by and street action right outside the window. It's part of getting the authentic experience of North Beach but I will provide earplugs if you request them!

Your Accommodation will Include:

- Private Bedroom with nice bay windows over looking North Beach
- A Full/Queen bed with fresh linens.
- Clean shared bathroom and a half - Towels included
- Toiletries, etc are available as needed (Shampoo, Hairdryer, etc.)
- Full access to the Kitchen with a Dining Area to eat
- Living Room (which has Cable TV and Netflix)
- Wifi Included

Guest access

You'll have access to the room, kitchen, bathrooms, dining and living rooms. Basically the entire place except for the other bedrooms.

Interaction with guests

I will be traveling during your stay but will be available via phone, email or text at anytime to answer questions or give suggestions!

In case you need help locally or if there is an emergency there will be two other roommates that stay in the house during your stay. They are very friendly and enjoy keeping the house mellow and clean!

Other things to note

Bus Lines/Trolley in close walking distance-
* 45 : It is right out your door on Union St. This will take you to other areas like the Marina, Downtown, Soma and CalTrain.
30 : Also right outside on Columbus. This bus goes from the Palace of Fine Arts, passed Ghiradelli Sq, through Fisherman's Wharf, and Downtown all the way to AT&T park. You can also take this to Crissy Field and walk to the Golden Gate Bridge!!
Powell & Market Trolley: If you're looking for some traditional San Francisco fun, you can catch the Powell and Market Trolley 2 blocks away at Mason and Union St. It's normally way easier to pick it up here than at either end's where you can wait in lines of up to 45 mins. or more.

Parking is available on the street but North Beach is notorious for being difficult to find parking. If you are driving, I can provide you some tips and suggestions for parking according to your needs. Parking is metered Monday-Saturday on my street and mostly 2 hour parking nearby. There is overnight parking for $30/night in an adjacent parking garage on the street.

You can also use Lyft, Uber, Getaround or Scoot to get around the city. I can provide you a referral code for discounts on these services.

Closest stop in Civic Center which you can grab a car (cab, lyft, uber) from to get to my place. Bart is great from the Airport if you chose not to drive which I highly suggest! If you are looking to go outside the city to the south or Easy Bay, this is always a great option as well.

Room was large and clean, in a quiet neighborhood. Dylan left clear instructions, and kindly even provided travel toiletries and tourist brochure. Really nice stay.

My name is Dylan and I'm all about the journey. Im passionate about music, traveling and photography and hope to one day complete a trip around the world.

I am definitely a California native but have spent time living in Texas and hope to one day spend significant time living abroad. I also love meeting people and enjoy building relationships that mean something and incorporate sharing experiences to learn from one another.
