16345/AL (legal local lodging)
Situated in the historical Ajuda/Belém neighborhood, with a relaxing atmosphere. With 2 buses just in front of the house and a typical tram close by, get easy access to the busy city and then enjoy a quiet stay: that’s the true spirit of this house!
Sunny, airy, quiet and very typical, this is a TWO STORY HOUSE in Ajuda, next to Belém, with a wonderful and wide view over the river.
Besides all the rooms described above, there is a garden, where you can relax, have barbecues, eat and play outdoor games.
As you enter the house, you will get a vintage feeling mixed with rustic charm.
Bed sheets, towels, a bottle of wine, tea, fruit… help yourself. And I will be very pleased to help you with all the information you may need.
Located in Ajuda, BELÉM AREA – one of Lisbon’s most important historical sites.
The neighbourhood is quiet, but the busy city is at your reach, by foot, bus (two different buses just in front of the house) or our typical tram.
Go down Calçada do Galvão by foot – it’s worth doing it! – and visit, all along, Jardim da Estufa Real, Igreja da Memória and Jardim Tropical. Now you are in the epicentre of Belém. In Belém, you have all sorts of amenities: more public transportation, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, bakeries, banks… and, of course, lots of historical buildings, museums and gardens to visit.
You have also supermarkets in the neighbourhood, and last but not least, you have Palácio Nacional da Ajuda (the Royal Palace) in the neighbourhood and a Windmill Park worth a visit.
FREE AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
I will pick you up at the airport and take you back so that you can enjoy the house and the city as soon as possible.
There are 2 bus stops just in front of the house. The 2 buses cover most of the city in different ways: 727 and 760. Although this is public transportation, you almost feel like travelling in a tourist bus, since they stop at the most important historical, cultural and entertaining sites.
And very close to the house, you also have a typical Lisbon tram – number 18, to Cais do Sodré. The ride begins and ends here, so you can always get a seat at the window!
If you travel by car, you have free and easy parking just in front of the house.
As the song goes “Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours”
So, I ask you to make no loud noise during the day and no noise after 10 p.m. (this is according to the portuguese law).
I advise you to be healthy, that’s why this is a non-smoking house, although you can obviously smoke in the garden and only in the garden.
Please try to leave the house as you found it. I hope to find you here in a very near future and help you to have a lovely stay.

Hello, I’m Maria. I love to travel and to welcome travellers.
Make you feel at home, show you around… this is the real heart of the matter.
This city is beating for you. I’ll be waiting for you. Bem-vindos! (just a little bit of portuguese to start with).
