My wife and three daughters had nearly three weeks at Catherine's place in Pouzelles and we loved every minute if it! The house is spacious and cool with three levels so we really felt we had the space we needed. We dined at home a lot and prepare packed lunches in the kitchen and watched the odd DVD in the evenings. We also had wine and cheese on the terrace most nights looking at the sunset, the swifts and the bats. It is in the most amazing village we've been to in southern France, there is a cafe (where we spent most evenings) a small supermarket and a baker. The house is next to the Dommaine D'Arjolle - a rather nice wine producer, the boutique shop is well worth the visit. There are often stalls in the market square in the mornings but Roujan is a 10 minute drive where there is a huge Super U with ATM and petrol station. Most of what we did was about a 40 minute drive and this included the beach (our favourite was Meze), Gorge D'heric, Pezenas for antique shopping, Saturday market and meals out, Beziers for shopping, Carcassonne for the walled town, Minervois for the swimming in the river, Barrage des Ollivettes for lake swimming... we had the most incredible holiday, thank you so much Catherine! Catherine was a brilliant host and had loads of tips and ideas for things for us to do and always answered my text message queries promptly. I'd recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting a comfortable, quiet, authentic southern France experience close to amazing places.

I enjoy walking in the countryside, love cooking for family and friends. I love all kinds of music and work at my local arts centre where I see a variety of musical events live theatre etc. I enjoy sewing and up cycling furniture, there are many examples of this at the cottage.
