The space

We're an Eco-lodge located in the "rain-forest", on the beautiful west end of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. We have four, one-room bungalows that are tucked into the landscape so as to give all guests privacy, and a view of the surrounding countryside. There is a small kitchenette and fine woodworking in each and there is a shared bathhouse with solar hot showers for the cabins, as well as for tent campers. We also have an apartment built into a circa 1841 ruin, that has a kitchenette with a fridge and a private bathroom. We also offer nature tours and earth skills workshops for those interested in learning more about the island.

Amazing experience camping in the rainforest. The cabin was clean, spacious, and airy. The sounds of the forest at night are incredible, and during the day it's lush and beautiful. Matt, Carmen, and family were wonderful hosts and we look forward to staying there again on our …

We liked the green and outdoors environment, the sounds of nature as night falls. The bungalow was clean and had all the necessary items to do some cooking. The bathhouse was near the bungalow and there is plenty of parking space for your car if you decide to rent one.

We were only able to spend 1 quick night here, but I wish we were able to spend more. The rainforest is amazing and the place was such a pleasure to listen to all the nature sounds at night as we slept.

This was truly a unique life experience: the modern Ecolodge, the warm people, the way of life (respect for Mother Earth and reconnection with one's true essence) were all overwhelming. From watching the glittering stars at night, to waking up with the rooster's cock-a-doodle-do…

Carmen and I have been teaching primitive skills at Tom Brown Jr's tracker school for 6 plus years, and we're excited about merging that passion with our love for St. Croix, and to offer it to our guests.
