We are excited to share our family camp located on one of the most soughtafter lakes in the Thunder Bay area, Surprise Lake. With only a quick 25 minute drive from the city, you'll be at camp in no time.

Feel like a swim? Sauna? Canoe ride? BBQ? Reading a book on the patio? It's all here. Enjoy!

We are a two season camp with a private beach and tiered deck for your hot summer days and an inside fire stove, blankets and a sauna to keep you cozy on those, well... not so hot months.

The main cabin has three bedrooms, a sitting area, living room, 6 seater family dinner table and open concept kitchen.

The master bedroom includes a a queen bed and walk out deck overlooking the lake & trees.
Our second bedroom has a queen bed and wardrobe.
The third bedroom hosts a bunk bed, with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top. There is also a small wardrobe in the room. Each bedroom is equipped with a wall mounted oscillating fan and hotel quality linens, so you can sink right in at the end of the day.

The newly renovated and well lit outhouse is just steps away from the entrance (no indoor toilet).

The kitchen is well stocked with oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea and Thunder Bay's finest, Rose N Crantz coffee. You'll also be set with frying pans, pots, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, baking sheets, mixing bowls, cheese grater, colander, cooking utensils, cutlery, wine glasses, plates, bowls and more. A water cooler is provided with plenty of water for your stay. We also have children's plates, bowls, forks, spoons and cups, so you won't need to bring your own!

There is a TV in the living room with Netflix, Crave, Prime, etc.. You will have to use your own username and password to login.
Children's books, toys and board games are provided to keep you entertained on those rainy days.

This authentic Thunder Bay camp boasts a huge deck, a dock for your boat (if you choose to bring your own) and a private beach for swimming. There is lots of seating outside and there is also a mosquito net so you don't have to worry about those pesky bugs.
You are welcome to bring your own canoe, paddle board, kayak or boat, however, a canoe is provided for your paddling pleasure!

You'll have your own private beach and pool noodles are provided in the sauna cabin for your enjoyment. There are beach toys included to keep your little ones busy.

A spacious wood sauna cabin has been built off the deck and comes with a cozy indoor seating area. Firewood & kindling is provided for you. If you need more kindling, there is a kindling cutter for you to cut your own.

The shower is situated inside the sauna.

We provide you with a shower towel, a beach towel, face cloth, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

You'll find the firepit beyond the sauna, overlooking the lake. There are chairs for seating.

Guest access
We have a long private driveway into the camp with lots of parking space beside the camp.
An electronic touch screen lock is provided for easy and contactless access. We are however, only a text away if you need any assistance.

Other things to note
We are a dog friendly camp however, we do not allow other animals on the property.

There is running water but it is unfiltered from the lake. Please drink from the water cooler provided.

A reminder that there is only an outhouse, no indoor toilet so come with an adventurous mindset of enjoying the outdoors in all its glory.
