This newly renovated cottage is located on the quiet stretch of Muskoka River located 15 minutes from the town of Bracebridge. Nestled in the woods, bright and cozy, this cottage is perfect for couples or a small group looking to relax or play in "The Heart of Muskoka". 🫶🌲😍
The space

Main room of cottage has an open and cozy feel. Nestle by the fireplace 🔥 or enjoy watching a movie🍿 in the living room. DVD's💿 and VHS's 📼 are provided for your entertainment. Board games are located inside the bench seating of the breakfast nook, along with children's activity/coloring books in the living room console table. 🎲
Dining room consists of an open concept breakfast nook suitable for up to 6 guests. 🍽️
Kitchen has all the essential amenities including a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, kettle and Keurig machine with coffee and tea provided. ☕🫖
Directly off the main area are 3 beautiful bedrooms. 🛏️One bedroom with a classic wooden bunk bed, and two bedrooms with queen sized beds equipped with large closets.
The washroom has your main essentials including shower, toilet, and sink with towels/shampoo/conditioner/soap provided. 🚿
There are two walk outs onto the main deck with a stunning view of the Muskoka River. BBQ 🍖 located on deck. Directly down the stairs lands a private lawn sloping down to the firepit🔥, cedar barrel sauna🥵😍, picnic table🧺 and water front💦. Full access to water toys (2 Kayaks, canoe, pedal boat, and a paddle board). 🛶
The terrain down to the waterfront may not be suitable for young children and we highly suggest supervision. 🛟 Please note: Waterfront is shallow and rocky at the land edge and deep off the dock (approx. 20 feet). We recommend water shoes if staying in the shallow parts of the river. Water toys will be pulled out of water in the Fall to prepare for snowy weather.

~Winter Fun~
2 Igloos: Your little ones can have fun in the snow while you are relaxing in our sauna! Your kiddos can have hours of fun either playing in these structures as is, or putting layers of snow on top! (structures are out seasonally ❄️)
✨~Winter Lanterns for a Magical Touch:~✨
During the winter months, we offer lanterns to place on the snowbanks for an enchanting glow. ✨😉Please let me know at the time of booking if you would like these left for you as they are not kept on the premises. Since they are battery-operated, they are stored indoors and will only be available upon request. If you'd like to use them, let us know, and we’ll have them ready in a box by the back door for your convenience! 🙌
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire cottage. This will include the private deck, fire pit, cedar barrel sauna, dock and water toys.
*Note: please use safety equipment while operating these toys. Water toys will be pulled out of water in the Fall to prepare for snowfall*
Other things to note
> In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the cottage is equipped with 1 exterior camera. This camera records 24/7. The camera is ONLY on the exterior facing the driveway and there are no cameras on the inside. 🎥
>The cottage is a cozy bungalow that is approx. 800 sq. ft.🏡
>We have a small hot water tank, so we recommend minimizing the use of hot water during winter months and while the dishwasher is running. 🌡️
>We have potable water- A UV/ sediment filtration system is in place 💧✅
>One bundle of firewood provided! 🪵✅Please prepare to check fire ban status for Bracebridge to avoid breaking bylaws.
>Lifejackets we supply🛟: 2 large, 2 medium, 2 small adult sized, 2 childrens size and 1 baby size. We also provide dog life jackets🐾: 1 small, 1 medium, 1 large. Please bring whatever other safety equipment you may be needing for your relaxing stay!
>Paddles are located on the water toy stand along with boat essentials kit to be brought on all boat outings 🛶
>Lawn maintenance arrives every other Thursday/Friday.🌲 Our lovely crew takes about 30 minutes, please allow them access so you can have a perfectly groomed lawn for the rest of your stay!
>Mosquito/Fly treatment sprayed every 3 weeks- This usually takes 20 minutes, please allow maintenance crew access to yard
>The cottage road is maintained by the township and the driveway is maintained by a private contractor but we still recommend snow tires and/or all wheel drive for the area.🧊 Some light snow clearing may be necessary during your stay for the deck/sauna, and we provide a shovel for your use ❄️
A Quick Note About Power Outages 🌲⚡
Our hydro isn’t quite like big city hydro! Out here, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, occasional power outages can happen (usually from a tree falling on a line). The good news? The town is fantastic at getting everything cleaned up and running again quickly!
While it's out of our hands, we’ve provided lanterns and flashlights to keep you comfortable and cozy if it happens during your stay. 😊
- We’re happy to offer Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi for a great connection during your stay. That said, we are in beautiful cottage country, surrounded by nature, which means the occasional power or internet outage can happen—especially during storms. While it’s perfect for streaming and browsing, we don’t recommend our cottage for remote work. Please note, as this is part of the charm (and reality!) of being in the forest, refunds aren’t provided for internet interruptions.
>Black Fly/Cluster Fly Season in all of Muskoka🪰:
-Mid May- End of June
-There is no way for us to predict when these flies will come and for how long, it depends on the weather and how fast the spring run off dries up.
-We recommend wearing a long sleeved shirt, pants 👖 and a hat 🤠 to avoid black fly bites. We do leave bug spray, after bite and bug jackets for your use inside the cottage, we also spray the property for mosquitoes and flies regularly. Please dress and prepare accordingly as these sprays tend not to work with black flies (this applies to the entire Muskoka Region)
