The space

The total space is 62 m2 including two balconies. The building is new, it has elevator. The flat is on the fourth floor, with one bedroom, open space kitchen and dining room. It is located in upper Vake. Most of the expats working in Tbilisi opt for upper Vake due to its' location close to Vake park, turtle lake and international organizations that are located around. The neighborhood is Not touristic. It is very quiet with no traffic and no pollution. The balconies overlook Vake park and forest of turtle lake.
If you love fresh air and jogging, you would love the place.

Most of the furniture is designed by Georgian furniture designer Marina Chedia.

The flat is ideal for those who visit Tbilisi for a short term job or business.
There is no public transport on the street. Easiest way to get there is Taxi, car or by foot.
If you are a tourist looking for a location within walking distance to old town and sightseeing - you need to consider another neighborhood.

Tinatin was a lovely host who went the extra mile to help me when I was in a bind. The place is lovely, in the hill just next to Vake Park. And it's within a 5 minute walk of the very fashionable and chic "Aboshidze Street". Clean, modern and with a view. I'd stay again.

Even before we arrived in Tbilisi the communication with Tinatin was smooth and pleasant. When arriving at the place we got to know Tinatin in person and our talks and requests were just as easy as one can imagine. She supported us in so many ways. Tinatin made us feel very comfortable in the apartment and even in the city; she definetly did more than we expected from a host. We are grateful for her hospitality. The apartment was highly convenient, it was our retreat and we stayed a lot "at home", enjoying the brightness, the view to the Vake park, the air (less polluted than further down), the quieteness (except some dogs barking ;-)), the well functioning and high quality infrastructure of the apartment, the modern style of the furniture etc. We loved the kitchen table - serving as a school room when having language classes, sitting with guests coming over now and then etc. Both - the place and even more Tinatin have been the best experienc e in our beginning time in the Georgia.

I stayed at Tinatin's beautiful flat for a month and it has been simply amazing. The flat is actually much more spacious and larger than you'd expect from the pictures: the bedroom is 25-30 m2, the kitchen and the living room is even larger. Two people can comfortably sit on each balconies with a table. The bed is comfortable and you have plenty of space in the built-in wardrobe in the bedroom. All appliances work perfectly and the wi-fi is actually quicker than mine at home. Tinatin speaks fluent English as well. The apartment is at a great location: to the back of the house its already the forest with a short walk to the Turtle Lake. To the north of the house is the upper part of Vake Park with birds chirping during the day. Bus stops at the entrance to Vake are a 5 minute walk downhill. There are nice small shops two streets downhill as well as a larger Populi (supermarket) three streets down. There are smaller and larger, cheaper and more fancy places in the neighbourhood. The innermost city centre takes about 10 minutes with a cab (5 lari max) or 15 with a bus (50 tetri). The entire neighbourhood is very friendly and silent - at the same time you won't feel like being in the suburbs as the buzz is just a few minutes away. This is the ideal place if you are a first time traveler - great price, especially taking the location into mind. You can reach everything easily and quickly. If, like me, you know the city fairly well, this is also a great choice: you will feel at home while still being in Tbilisi - what more could you ask for? As most people do, I arrived to and left the city in the early hours - Tinatin arranged a metered cab for me, we met to exchange the keys, on arrival she showed me the apartment. On top of all this, she even did some shopping so the fridge was full of delicious food, I had fresh bread and eggs. A few days later Tinatin even sent me an e-mail with some new places she suggested me to visit and a detailed description of the various types of Georgian wines. Location: 10/10 Description: 10/10, but the flat is actually more spacious then you'd expect Host: 15/10 The only negative thing that comes into mind is that I had to come home. Seriously, I've traveled a lot, lived in Tbilisi for some time years ago, so I speak from experience when I say that this is probably one of the best places to stay at in Tbilisi.

Tinatin User ProfileTinatin is a superhost.

I was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. I lived in different countries and studied oriental studies, gender and international development.

I love travelling and often do it on my own but I also enjoy travelling with a companion. The countries with wine culture are one of my favorite travel destinations. Love hiking, cycling, mountains and heights, volcanoes, vineyards, deserts and sea. Very often, I choose travel route spontaneously and always give myself full flexibility to change my daily plans while travelling; If I feel special at particular villages or cities, I prolong my stay, if I don't, I continue exploring other places. This approach makes my holidays challenging, adventurous and memorable.

I'm easygoing and very hard working person. I Love receiving guests and always happy to give them practical suggestions about the city, sightseeing, places to eat and drink to make their trip more pleasant.

At a personal level, I appreciate cultural and human diversity. Enjoy the process of making my ideas and wishes come true.
I love coffee, good wine and veggie food, and hanging out with friends.
