Reconnect with nature at this serene 20' diameter teepee on an active sheep farm. Enjoy cozy amenities like a kitchenette and a smokeless fire pit. Meet friendly animals—sheep, goats, horses, and more—and watch for local wildlife. Roserim Lake is steps away, perfect for swimming, kayaking, birdwatching, and sunsets. Three stunning waterfalls and trails of Gray Wells Provincial Park are a short drive away.

The space
Experience glamping at its finest in our stunning 20+ ft tall teepee retreat at WHOKA. Built on a raised platform and surrounded by nature, the teepee offers a spacious and cozy camping experience with plenty of room to relax, unwind, and reconnect with the outdoors.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable and rustic setup designed for simple off-grid living. The teepee includes a futon that converts into a double bed, as well as a single bed, comfortably accommodating couples, friends, or small families. Linens are provided, though we still recommend bringing extra sleeping bags or warm blankets during cooler nights in the Cariboo.

The teepee features a small kitchenette equipped with basic cooking essentials, along with a sink and battery-operated faucet for simple meal preparation and cleanup. A smokeless fire pit adds warmth and ambiance to your evenings, while solar-powered lighting provides enough light for reading, board games, relaxing with friends, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

When campfires are permitted, complimentary firewood is provided and conveniently located just outside the teepee entrance. During seasonal fire bans, guests are encouraged to bring a Coleman stove or other propane cooking device for preparing meals safely.

Internet access via Starlink WiFi is available near the teepee, allowing guests to stay connected while still enjoying an authentic off-grid experience.

Our water comes from a deep well and passes through a UV sanitization and charcoal filtration system. Interior Health requires us to label the water as “Non-Potable” because it is not a chlorinated municipal-style water system. Many rural properties in the area operate similarly. Guests who prefer treated municipal water or who have sensitivities are encouraged to bring their own drinking water.

The teepee is powered sustainably with solar energy for lights and charging small devices, while firewood is used for heating and cooking — offering guests a peaceful balance between comfort and nature.

Come experience the magic of lakeside farm life, star-filled skies, crackling fires, and unforgettable memories at WHOKA Orchards.

Guest access
There is free parking on the premises. Feel free to bring your bikes or simply take your time and walk the many trails on the property.

ATV and off-road enthusiasts are welcome to bring their machines and enjoy the many surrounding backcountry trails and forest service roads the Cariboo region is known for. The area offers endless opportunities for exploring nature, lakes, scenic viewpoints, and rugged wilderness terrain.

To help preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the farm and accommodations, we kindly ask that ATVs and motorized recreational vehicles be operated off the farm property and used primarily on surrounding trail systems and designated recreation areas.

Guests also have full access to the hiking trails, volleyball court and lake. When approaching farm animals for the first time we do require that a host be present.

Other things to note
Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as the area is home to local wildlife and curious animals may occasionally wander through.

Your safety and enjoyment are extremely important to us. While we strive to provide a peaceful and memorable stay, please remember that you are visiting an active lakeside farm and natural wilderness area, which comes with certain inherent risks. All guests are required to carefully read the house rules before arrival, as they include important safety information and a liability waiver.

We kindly ask guests to drink responsibly and avoid excessive alcohol or drug use while on the property. Please use caution around the campsite, farm areas, trails, and lakefront so everyone can enjoy a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience.
