Kitchen amenities include mini fridge, toaster, toaster oven, keurig and microwave. There is wifi. The washroom is only accessible from the kitchen/bedroom area of one of the bedrooms up a set of stairs, but it is a separate bathroom from the rest of the house. Although the description says this will sleep six people in two rooms, it really would only sleep five. One room has a double bed and a twin, and the other room has a "king size" bed made of two mattresses put together; therefore this would not accommodate three couples. Continental breakfast is not included in the price. You are able to hear anyone walking upstairs. Susan was a great host, the room was tidied during the day although we were not expecting it. Overall, this is great accommodation and I would recommend it.

A beautiful little cabin tucked away in the foot his if the Canadian Rockies. A scenic drive to Waterton national park. Susan was warm and welcoming and made us a delicious diner in the resaurant above. Beautiful view! Also we got use of two rooms. Room one has a king size bed and kitchenette and sitting area. Room two has a twin bed and double bed. Very cozy and gorgeous view!

The place was cozy and quaint, on the mountain road on the way to Castle Mountain Resort. Susan was a great host, and was both friendly and willing to accommodate our last minute requests as she prepared and made dinner for us (which was delicious) even without prior notice. She runs the bar and diner upstairs, and is an amazing chef. The only issue we had was with finding the place due to our unfamiliarity with the area. We would recommend navigating to "Stellas Pub and Grille" in Pincher Creek on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, that'll take you right to the location. Thanks for a great mountain stay Susan!

Very friendly host. She was willing to cook us meals ... breakfasts and dinners.. we took her up on one dinner which was fabulous! The room was very comfortable.. the bathroom goes up some stairs but is private. It is a lovely building built in 1909 hence some squeaking when folks walk upstairs which we found to be comfortable and cozy..

The location of this rustic little place is so picturesque and quiet. It suited our needs quite well as myself, my son and his girlfriend enjoyed a two-day trip in the Crowsnest Pass and Waterton areas. We enjoyed playing a board game on the outside lawn in the evening, and having room to move it to the little living room area when it got dark. We were very disappointed the restaurant was not open during our stay, and wish we would have known this in advance, as there were so many lovely reviews about the food there, and there were some delicious smells coming from the place. There was no explanation as to why the restaurant was closed, and it seemed strange with it being summer and it being a Thursday/Friday. It was open neither day/evening. The host, Susan, was very friendly and communicative via text. I appreciate honest reviews and because people are so nice, I hesitate to mention negative things, but I do appreciate them in other people's reviews. So with that .... Beds were comfortable, but one of them had several dead bugs in it. As one other reviewer mentioned, it seems the bathroom, which is accessed by a set of stairs to the second floor, is a shared bathroom with whomever is staying in the upstairs accommodations or perhaps living there. I think this should be mentioned honestly in the listing as it is no mistake that you can hear someone else coming and going into that bathroom. Overall it was a positive stay with a couple of things that affected my rating.

Response from Susan:
THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT! Stella is a gourmet chef, but no where on our listing does it say this is a restaurant, if you contact her with enough notice she will gladly cook one of her famous dishes for you. Karen, not sure where you read this but again this is NOT a restaurant and is not open at your beck and call. The beds were changed at noon as our previous guests checked out just before so if there were bugs, they sure are quick ones! Also, just a heads up-in the future SHOW YOUR HOST if you see something like this! If I were staying anywhere I would have complained immediately! But it is interesting that you waited until you checked out (and didn't get fed on command) to make an accusation such as that. As was stated in the previous review you mentioned, our response is (again), THE BATHROOM IS PRIVATE TO YOU, THE GUEST. No one entered your bathroom, although we do have a famous ghost :). The house is over 100 years old, so most likely you heard our own private bathroom being used, as we wouldn't run a bed and breakfast if we didn't have our own private space.

Stella's Inn is a beautiful hidden gem in Southern Alberta. The location is stunning, food in Stella's restaurant is incredible, and the suite downstairs has everything you need. Stella's Inn is a perfect place to stay near Waterton, or if you're looking to stop somewhere between Montana and central Alberta or BC. We can't wait to come back in the winter to go skiing at nearby Castle Mountain!
