The description of the listing was quite accurate and the location was perfect. Loved the neighborhood and its easy access to a market and many eateries. Was able to walk to meetings and events.

Niles was a great host. The apartment was a perfect location for our conference at the Convention Center (2 blocks away!). It was a great location to many places in D.C. -- all about 1 mile away, so definitely walkable or a quick uber ride. The apartment was VERY clean, and I felt very safe -- which are my top criteria for a great place. I loved that he requests people not wear shoes in the apartment because the apartment was very clean and showed little wear. I felt absolutely comfortable walking around barefoot (which my husband would tell is quite rare with my germophobia :))! He provided basic amenities with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner. The kitchen is sparsely stocked with plates, utensils - but there are not cooking supplies (but plenty of food to get around town). Niles kept in constant contact which is great. Entrance into the apartment was simple through his instructions. Overall this was a great place and I definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Response from Niles:
Thanks Tara - you were a great guest. Your feedback is appreciated to further improve the stay of guests (especially those that like to cook during their stay) - I recently purchased pots, pans, and cooking supplies for future guests. You're welcome back anytime. All the best.

Great neighborhood and only two blocks from the Walter E Washington Convention Center. Cozy apartment and perfectly suited for what I needed for my weekend stay. Sparse in terms of amenities (e.g. only one towel and soap dispenser in the apartment) so perhaps not suited for multiple guests. For a single traveler, everything was adequate. Niles was accommodating and answered requests promptly. Thanks!

Niles kept in touch and was very easy to contact. The listing description is very accurate. I felt quite safe and at home in this diverse neighborhood. In fact, this apartment is in an excellent location, about one block from the Washington Convention Center, which made it ideal for me as I was attending a major conference. The apartment itself has all the amenities, is exceptionally clean and is in like-new condition. This is a luxury accommodation, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. And di I mention there is a dynamite soul food restaurant inside the local church? Check it out on Yelp. Excellent comfort food, tons of it, for a relatively low price.

Originally from the east coast, but grew up in Chicago and have lived in Washington, DC and San Francisco / Sacramento more recently. I work in the healthcare development field and I've spend significant time traveling abroad for work and pleasure across Europe, Africa and Latin America. Enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, and photography.

When I travel, I'd prefer a comfortable home in a central location that allows for more relaxation and a local taste of the city.
