If you are looking for an authentic stay in the lush and quiet French countryside this is your place. The Farmhouse is a lovingly restored stone house in an old hamlet, which means no stores or cafes nearby, just freedom, peace and beauty. There's also a pool. Village great to walk around in. Host in the village is charming, attentive and being English speaks English. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

This place is a dream come true! We arrived late in the afternoon to this peaceful place overviewing the burgundy landscape. We stayed in the Farmhouse, one of three houses in which katie and her father richard welcome guests. Since the place used to be a farm, everything is still very rustic, authentic and surrounded by pure nature, woods and fields with cows. we enjoyed long walks through the forests, visiting the small, romantic villages around, eating fresh vegetables and fruits from the neighbours farms (especially the little bakery-van that comes up the hill every tuesday and thursday to bring you fresh baguette and pastries!). The pool was fantastic, we even went for a swim when it started raining the other day. Richard is a brilliant host, we really enjoyed his company! Higly recommended place if you´re in need for some relaxing, silence and beauty!

The Farmhouse is set in the most beautiful location. We'd never visited Burgundy before but fell in love with its rolling countryside. There were some great walks straight from the house - very easy to take the dog for a walk and immediately surrounded by wild flowers and butterflies. We had some great trips to chateau, walks by the Burgundy canal, a trip to Dijon, and the fantastic roman museum in Veneray. The location is very good for exploring, and Richard was always on hand for advice and suggestions. He even organised horse riding for us, which was amazing. We did only use the pool a couple of times, but it is a lovely pool with a nice pool house and table tennis table. It's shared by 3 houses but we never found this an issue. We always had it to ourselves when we went to use it. The house itself is comfy and cosy. The beds are very very comfy. The shower is good - never ran out of hot water even when all four of us got ready in the morning. We struggled with the wifi - it is really only ok for the odd email. Which was an issue for our teenagers. For visitors with dogs - our dog loved the garden - and visiting our neighbours for a stroke and a snack! He was poorly while we were there and we had to visit the vet in Veneray quite a bit. They were excellent- so kind and helpful.

This house ist just wonderful! It has lots of space for 2 people and is rustic, cosy and comfy. We enjoyed our own private section of the garden and also strolled around the large communal garden. It is very peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved it and hope to come back. Katie and her family were perfect hosts.
