Spacious 2 bedroom flat occupies entire ground floor of house with large living area, leafy garden surrounds and ocean views.
Unique design with small but neat bathroom and a small galley-type kitchen/kitchenette. Easy 15 min drive to Wollongong CBD. 5 min drive to beach and pools.
PLEASE NOTE: very steep driveway to unit entrance. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
We live upstairs on first floor with separate outdoor entry.

The space
Everything you need to make yourself at home!
The unit is very open and spacious and gets lots of sun in the morning. Tiled throughout, it is naturally cool with a very comfortable, cool temperature during warmer weather. There is air conditioning and effective gas heating also.
Originally built as a recording studio the flat has a bit of a quirky design. Wireless internet is available. Reception can occasionally drop out amidst the trees however the internet connection is typically very reliable and fast.
There are 2 bedrooms which both have good size wardrobes. An additional blow-up single bed can be added for a fifth guest (child only) on request. Maximum of 4 adults. Porta-cot and high chair also available (please just ask if required).
LOUNGEROOM is very spacious with comfortable lounge and a small desk for work/study, TV and DVD player, plenty of books, dvds and a toybox for the little ones.
KITCHEN: is a small galley type kitchen/kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, kettle, double element cook top (electric) and a bar sized fridge which has a very small freezer.

PLEASE NOTE: Very steep driveway to main entrance of unit.
The unit is the entire ground floor (which is at the top of the driveway) of the house with separate access. There are 2 sliding doors (front and side of house) that both access the unit. The main entrance is through the side glass sliding door. A side patio is available to guests with an outdoor seat and bbq. Guests also have access to the front garden which has a small outdoor setting and pond. The front garden is very shaded with lots of gum trees and flowering plants.
Hosts live upstairs on first floor with separate entry (top of outdoor stairs).

Other things to note
Steep driveway. The unit is at the top of a short, very steep driveway (see photo of front of house) and there are 4 steps at the top of the driveway to the front door.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not ideal for anyone with limited mobility.

As we live upstairs directly above the unit guests will hear some general everyday living noises (footsteps, water pipes, doors closing etc). We are very conscious of our guests and try to keep any noise to a minimum however cannot avoid it completely so please note will be similar to hearing noises in an apartment block with people living upstairs.

The kitchen is not a full size kitchen - it is more a kitchenette with bar size fridge, microwave and cooktop element. There is limitrd bench top space so it is more ideal for short stays or for those who dont mind limited cooking facilities.

Plenty of street parking or guests may park in driveway.
We do have a dog - a friendly blue cattle dog, Rookie, who lives in the backyard which is fenced off and separate from the unit.

Please note we will only accept bookings for those with accurate information in the booking request including correct number of guests for the required nights. Price advertised is for up to 2 guests to allow for more affordability for a couple or individual guest. Additional $15 per guest per night for 3rd and 4th guests.

Woonona, New South Wales, Australia

The house/unit is set up against the escarpment so we have great views of the ocean. It is very peaceful with lots of beautiful native scenery and wildlife. There is a lot of birdlife around, particularly in the trees in the front garden including King Parrots, Galahs, Kookaburras, Rainbow Lorikeets, Cockatoos and plenty more.
The beaches are lovely with white sand and plenty of beaches to choose from. There are beach pools at Woonona and Bulli beaches if you don't like swimming in the waves. Surfing and kitesurfing is quite popular and in the right season we often see whales from the beach.

There are also lots of parks and playgrounds in the area and footpaths/bike tracks as well as a range of restaurants and cafes in the main street of Woonona alone, as well as the surrounding suburbs.
In Woonona CBD, Pai Tong is a favourite Thai restaurant or for pizza lovers, try Woonona Pizza Kitchen! There is also Hogs Breath, Indian, Lebanese, Chinese, dominos and various cafes. Recommended cafes are Four Little Beans in Woonona main street or Northbreak cafe by the beach.

Woonona has an IGA and 2 kms from Woonona main street is a big Woolworths in Bulli. There are several pharmacies in Woonona and surrounding suburbs.

There is a laundromat in Woonona just off the main street so just a couple minutes drive or 10/15 minute walk from the unit. There is another laundromat in Corrimal - a short drive from the unit.

We are a busy and easy going couple with 2 young kids and our beloved dog Rookie. We love the outdoors, particularly the beach, kite surfing (well Murray) and travelling/exploring anywhere and everywhere.

During your stay
We live on the first floor of the house and have separate access via outdoor stairs. We do our best to avoid any disruption to guests however you will likely hear some noises from us upstairs if home (footsteps, doors closing, occasional childrens voices etc).
We will be available via mobile and email throughout your stay. We do both work so are often in and out. We are happy to take phone calls or respond to SMS for any queries or concerns that you have during your stay. We are very friendly and more than happy to offer some local knowledge and advice or directions, however we also respect your privacy. If you dont want/need to see us you probably won't.
