Peaceful, private room available in tropical Palolo Valley. You will be surrounded by mountains, palm trees, and stars staying on this environmentally friendly property.

The space

This is a shared space. The room is fully furnished with an incredibly comfortable queen size bed. There is air conditioning in the bedroom as well if needed. There is an accordion style door in the bedroom that closes completely, but does not lock. The kitchen has a new stove and refrigerator with a coffee maker, blender, juicer and food processor. The bathroom has a hot shower, no tub. Access to blow dryer, towel, and shampoo. Space available to put your toiletries. Other areas of the home are simply decorated, there is no tv here, however wifi accessible everywhere, including the yard.

The yard is a major highlight. Cool breezes come through the valley, making the temperatures perfect year round. Rainbows are seen here frequently. Huge lush tropical yard with lots of fruits and veggies. Wi-fi both inside and outside.

There is a safe, secure free covered parking space included that is easily accessible and attaches to the home.

Guest access

I have coolers that you may take out to the beach and enjoy.

Interaction with guests

I will be staying on the property and can offer any assistance needed. From time to time I am off island and you will have the place to yourself. I am definitely up for good conversations as well if you like to socialize.

Other things to note

One thing to note about Hawaii, it is a tropical climate and we have geckos and cockroaches. They are not bad in my house, but don't be surprised if you do see a critter.

Staying with Trey and his wonderful lab, Jack, was a terrific experience. Both made us feel so welcome and "at home". The listing and photo provided accurate information and our expectations were exceeded by how comfortable we felt. The yard is a bonus, for relaxation and for feeling part of the neighbourhood. Trey is a great host, and we hope to visit in "Serene Palolo" again soon.

Trey is an amazing host. He is very interesting and funny too, we had some great chats:) Jack the dog was good company as well! I slept so well in the super comfy bed and it was so quiet in the morning. The house is set up in the hills, beautiful views and lovely temple just up the road. Hope to come again to Honolulu and stay with Trey again!! Highly recommended!!

Trey was an enthusiastic and welcoming host who made us feel at home before we arrived. His dog, Jack, was an absolute sweetheart. We arrived later int he evening and Trey made sure he was available to greet us and make us feel at home right away. It's not always easy to feel at home in someone else's space--but we were beyond comfortable in the room that had cross-breezes from open windows and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever to slept in.

Host is friendly and easy to communicate with. Very generous with his place. Its important to know that there is a dog that stays in the common space on occasion and if you dont like the smell of a dog it may get to you. Otherwise good central location if you have a car and quiet neighborhood for good sleep. Room equipped w AC or natural breeze. Lighting is a bit awkward because switch doesnt work and outlet is limited if u need to charge phone, use AC and turn on off lights. A few bugs here and there but didnt bother me. Carport requires a skilled driver to get in and out of. Check in and check out was seemless. Good value. Great host.

Treys place was great. About 20-30 min bus ride to Waikik and about 45 minutes away from downtown via bus. Conformable bed and plenty of privacy. Trey is definitely the definition of the Aloha Spirit! There are a few coffee shops and markets somewhat walking distance, great neighborhood. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a place to stay short term or long term. Also, JACK the doggy is amazing!! Such a sweet lil guy!! Will definitely miss staying in Palolo Valley!
