Charming, fully equipped boutique house in the Heights located in one of the best spots in Houston. Walking distance to so many great places, including the night life. Stay overnight or it's party-ready for boutique events and dinner parties!

The space

This little house is perfect if you want a quaint, convenient, and comfortable place to pop in and out of while seeing the city. It's a perfect spot for a boutique event, a girls' night, baby shower, small bridal shower, a meeting, a photoshoot, a dinner party, a networking event, etc.

There are 6 white rectangle tables and 28 white chairs (see photos), a speaker, a projector, and a fully equipped kitchen, and an electric fireplace.

Note that there are no bedrooms, it's an open layout. This is great for girls' nights and slumber parties of any kind especially because it's open- perfect for one big get together. Couples love the mini retreat feel!

If you are having an event and staying overnight, we set up the space for your event. We do not set up beds. There's not enough room to have both beds and tables/chairs all at once. After your event, you can set up the King size round bed that sleeps 2. We have the bedding ready for you, it's easy! We also have 2 ready-made memory foam cots. We can properly accommodate up to 4 guests for overnight stay. We have a garage apartment in the back that you can find on our profile that you could add for additional accommodations (NOTE: this is not always an available option due to other bookings). Please ask us about renting the garage apartment as well!

There's also a backyard- It's big enough for a Moonwalk (you can even rent one from us) with plenty of room to play, kick a ball around, and have a small outdoor get together. Situations may vary because there are neighbors.

We are unable to accommodate a DJ, either inside or outside, due to neighbors. The space isn't big enough to require one though. Music is no problem as long as you can't hear it loudly from outside the house.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because we are an event space, the check in time for Saturday and Sunday is at 6pm, and the check out time is 10am.

Guest access

You have 24 hour check in and access using a coded door entry, leaving zero concern about schedules or checking in late.

Interaction with guests

I love to meet guests but our schedules don't always line up. I like to create an experience where you don't need me but I'm very available if you do.

Other things to note

Because we are an event space, Saturday and Sunday have daytime and evening rentals. The check-in time for Saturday and Sunday is 6pm and the check out time is 10am. The rest of the days are flexible with standard 2pm check in time for overnight stays. Hourly rentals are available weekdays only Monday - Thursday

Parking: There's a long driveway that parks 5 cars and a small driveway in the front that parks 2 small/average size cars. All additional parking is on Beverly St., a close walk. There's a parking guide in the binder as well. The parking situation will be case by case based on how the entire property is booked.

Please be thoughtful of neighbors and other people renting space on the property. Please don't talk loudly in the backyard once it's late and people might be sleeping.

Cleaning: Your cleaning fee is a nominal charge that covers basic cleaning. We clean the bedding, leave all bedding for us. Remove all trash, clean up spills, load the dishwasher, towels can be left in the bathroom. Please don't leave wet towels on the wood floor or anything else but the bathroom floor or hanging over the shower.

We can only continue to allow events if the space is well taken care of. The space should be returned as you found it. We shouldn't walk in and it looks like you had a party.

For event cleaning: All of the above cleaning applies plus remove all decorations, tape, and any other party related items. Spills should be cleaned up right away so the wood floor doesn't get ruined. Check the driveways and backyard for trash. Wipe tables and chairs. Look for any spills on the walls and baseboards. We don't charge an additional cleaning fee for events, assuming you will clean up your event (and most people do) so any additional cleaning will have to be billed to you if the above cleaning isn't done.

The check out time is important because someone else is likely to be checking in right after you check out. Please be respectful of the check out time. You are always welcome to ask if you can extend it. Most of the time we have a cleaning person already scheduled so last minute requests might be challenging to arrange.

Thank you very much for honoring the rules, it helps everything run smoothly. Most people are already naturally observant of taking great care of things but we have to be clear and prepared for the occasional unfortunate situations.

Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Teya was easy to deal with. Parking was complicated in that the house lists space for multiple cars. However, there are two other units on the same property that take up parking in a single row. So it can be confusing to not get blocked in. The house itself was up to par.

We used this place to host a baby shower for about 30 guest, with a small catered buffet. There are actually only three rooms available to you, front/living room, middle/dining area and kitchen. We had the space available to us at exactly 6pm and not earlier. In my opinion, is a lil late and leaves not much time to set up before guest arrive. They had plenty of tables and chairs available but we had to put together the tables (taking a lil more of our time). With houston being to so hot in the summer, it is expected that it would be warm in the house. We couldn't get the house to cool down but was able to request for some fans (4 box fans) that were dropped off shortly after requested. For the price we were charged, I think next time we may just spend a lil more and use a club room at a hotel or commercial event space.

It was very easy booking this place with Teya for our event especially after having a bad experience with our last 2 hosts and getting cancelled last minute. Teya was able to accommodate us with a place and had very effective communication. I was also in touch with Amber through text messages. She was able to answer any questions I had and had fast replies, which was highly appreciated! The boutique bungalow was very cute and easily matched our "classy" theme birthday get-together. Also loved how easy it was to check-in/out and how they created a binder in the house with all the information we needed!
