Outstanding experience at Casa Cocobolo. Architecturally stunning, views to die for and incredibly comfortable in all respects. If this house was in Big Sur, it would cost $10,000 a night or more. Silvia was an amazing host. When we arrived, she told us the projector wasn't working and offered us a couples 90 minute massage. The massages were extraordinary and we get massages all the time. We ventured out to a "must" restaurant, Tierra y Fuego and ran into Silvia and her family. She offered us a bottle of wine which was so nice, not to mention dropping off a loaf of the local bakery sourdough bread for our stay (house was already nicely stocked with bread, fruit, olive oil, eggs butter, coffee), and if that wasn't enough Silvia and her husband grow vegetables on a farm and dropped off arugula, lettuce and corn. We shared a bit with the iguana that came by each morning. The raccoon comes by a little later in the morning for a snack. The wife had an allergic reaction to some medication the was prescribed in Malpais, and Silvia's husband drove right over with some Allegra which was recommended by our doctor. Hard to want to leave the house, but when we did we explored beautiful beaches, jumped off a waterfall, ate divine food. We hope to return. Great stay.

This place is absolutely picture perfect. If you need to stay connected I recommend getting a wifi hotspot or sim card for your phone as it is faster than the in house wifi, but if not then come kick your feet up and enjoy the views, ocean breeze and the sounds of waves crashing. Also would recommend either getting 4 wheelers or a 4x4 vehicle to go exploring. It is a great place and would visit again in the future for sure.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience! This place was so beautiful... waking up to the view every morning was truly something special. All of our needs were taken care of perfectly. Highly recommend renting ATVs during your stay (we rented them for 3 out of 5 days and it was awesome). Also, we hired the International Chef, Aaron, for all 4 nights. That was the best decision ever, the vegan food he made for us was fantastic. The pool area was also so much fun, would be perfect for families, or two couples like we did. Thanks for everything! We will definitely be back. :)

This is a stunning modern home with fantastic views. The price includes daily housekeeping service (from 8 - 4) and Martina as concierge helped us book various activities (snorkeling, zip lining). Even a small problem with the refrigerator was resolved immediately by the hosts themselves. Many of the nearby roads are not paved but you quickly learn to navigate them if you rent a car. Local beaches are beautiful. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

I have no choice but to echo the reviews already made on Casa Cocobolo. This home is secluded yet close to town, beautiful, and comfortable. I went with my partner and my daughter and we felt as if we were in a reverse terrarium with animals coming to visit us daily. Birds, monkeys, coatis, iguanas and halloween crabs to name a few. Every morning we watched every minute detail of the sunrise and every evening the sunset and the moon rise. When we went touring in the area we couldn't help but comment how being at Casa Cocobolo was the best place in Costa Rica and we rushed back daily! Now for the lowdown: We had Silvia stock the house with groceries, wine, local microbrew, Flor de Cana Rum (amazing), strong local coffee, garden picked arugula, hand made local cheese, succulent fruits, cured meats, and sunscreen. We were greeted on our arrival by Martina, a concierge of sorts, who offered us fresh watermelon and cold water and proceeded to walk us through house tips and gave us an iPhone to use while we were there (so helpful for directions, yelping restaurants, local calls.) Our bags had been delayed for 2 days and Silvia and Martina helped us by calling the baggage office and sorting it out for us. They even found a driver to meet pick up a bag at Tambor airport for $40 so that the situation didn't disrupt our travel plans. The delightful Martina was a stellar resource throughout the week, by warmly checking in, troubleshooting the apple tv, making suggestions, arranging tours and massages for us. The only complaint was that the freezer door was lodged shut so we were forced to have nothing frozen . . .including ice. This was only an issue once when we wanted to make some margaritas. Everyday Lidia, the housekeeper came, for hours and made sure the home was spotless, bed linens refreshed, and even made us hand-squeezed juice from local cashew fruit all while remaining out of sight for the several hours she was there daily. The home is equipped with WiFi, which we really only used to connect to the home SONOS stereo system, to play music while we gazed for hours at the skyline from the pool. All we had to do was download the SONOS app onto our iPhone and our iTunes Library was available to us. Three Halloween crabs that were migrating from the hillside to the ocean fell in the pool accidentally and my daughter had the best time rescuing them with a kitchen strainer. The beds were oh so comfortable. The saltwater pool was cleaned daily which we appreciated because we used it several times a day. Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, paper products were stocked. We loved this place, the service, the location, the amenities. I highly recommend this place and plan on making it back!

SPECTACULAR! The most amazing house in an amazing location, all attended by amazing people. We had a fantastic holiday in Montezuma at Casa Cocobolo. There was a lot to do in the area, although it was only with reluctance that we left the comforts of the house. Ana Silva has created the perfect environment to enjoy the best of Costa Rica.

The view the house affords is worth the trip alone. The house was truly designed to take advantage of the cliff side breeze and the immaculate sunrise. The surrounding area brings a slower pace of life- a relaxed way of being present. This is a place to put your phone away and enjoy more a natural and grounding way of life, even if only for a few days or weeks.
