Here on the farm you will find the time and space to relax into the present moment.
The space
When you book the whole shebang you and your group get to enjoy the space all to yourselves!
The teepees are an experience more so than just accommodations. You are still glamping in the outdoors but with the luxury of a king or double bed with a bug net, lounging space, and fire pit all within your teepee. Because of the open fire pit the smell of campfire smoke is present. Other than the open fire there is no heating in the teepee. There are extra throws and a wool blanket in each teepee but we recommend you pack some warm layers in case it is a chilly night.
The cabin is unfinished on the outside but beautifully decorated in a funky/rustic style on the inside with everything you need to feel at home in the space. It houses the bathroom, kitchen, living spaces, and the extra bedroom with a queen bed.
The farm is a small active farm with 360 degree views of the coastal mountains that make this beautiful valley. We run a greenhouse/nursery 5 days a week where we sell plants and fresh vegetables. During the days it's not uncommon to hear a tractor or lawn mower working away as well as the song of all the resident birds. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 goats that may be sharing the space with you. Our dogs are very friendly but are also good guard dogs and will let us know when you arrive. This can feel a bit intimidating at first but once the excitement of your arrival settles they will be your best friend!
We are still very much in nature and are sharing this space with the wildlife that is a part of it. You may hear our dogs barking at night but they are just keeping good boundaries set.
Guest access
On the farm you will have access to the teepees, the cabin which has the kitchen, bathroom, living space, and yoga loft space, and the mowed lawn spaces surrounding these areas. You are also welcome to walk along designated paths around the farm as well.
If the timing works out you may catch us out on a goat walk!
Other things to note
The teepees are equipped with an open fire pit inside, because of this the smell of campfire smoke is present. If you decide to light a fire during your stay you and anything you have in the teepee will also smell of smoke, just the same as when you are camping.
Lighting a fire in the teepee doesn't always go as planned and being smoked out is always a possibility. We are available to help teach you how to set up the teepee for a fire and light a fire.
All of that being said, you don't have to light a fire and during the summer season there may be fire bans that prohibit it altogether.
The first bundle of firewood is included in your stay, after that each bundle will be $10.
