Where you’ll be

Arnasco, Liguria, Italy

The house is situated in Arnasco, a traditional Italian village on the Italian Riviera in the northwest of Italy. Olive growing has been the village’s main activity since the 1600s. Hence Arnasco is home to a specialised Olive Oil Co-operative, which sells its speciality products and serves espressos and cappuccinos on the village square. Friendly locals, the tranquillity of its natural surroundings and the gentile influences of the Mediterranean Sea amount to Arnasco being an enjoyable place to visit for tourists from around the world, a lovely retreat just a couple of miles from the hustle and bustle of the beaches. A number of renowned exponents from the world of art (amongst others Kirkeby and Kriesner) have taken up residence and left their mark. Furthermore, Arnasco has a church, pharmacist and a small convenience store within a minute’s walk from the house. Arnasco is also home to several outstanding restaurants. For example, Da Bianca serves high-quality Italian dishes and local specialties, and has done so for decades. A peculiar feature of this restaurant is that there is a different menu every day, from which the hostess brings her guests food continuously, so there is no need to order anything in advance. In addition, because of its hilly landscape and natural beauty, Arnasco is a perfect place to hike, bike and go for walks. The steep and winding road leading up to Arnasco is a particular favourite of cycling fanatics. During the summer, Arnasco, as well as towns and cities in the area, organises rustic feasts with music, dancing and local cuisine.

We are legal and tax professionals. We have three boys age 12, 14 and 17 who are in high school. We work a lot and studie hard and therefore we enjoy our vacations in Italy to keep our life in balance. Our children like to swim in the Mediteranian Sea while their parents drink a cafe or capuchino. We love to go walking in the mountains and along the ancient Roman trails with their remains. We all have a favorite typical italian restaurant where traditional and pure dishes are being served.
