Onrus Rest is an owner hosted recently renovated, stylish easy-living 2-bedroomed cottage with electricity backup in a tranquil, gated complex situated in the village atmosphere of central Onrus River. It is a pleasant 10 min. walk to the Onrus Beach and Peninsula, an easy 10 min. drive to Hermanus and within walking distance of the famous Cliff Path and local restaurants.

This open-plan holiday retreat has all the comforts of home and is ideal for a self-catered breakaway for up to 4 guests.

The space
The cottage is located close enough to Hermanus and the Whale Coast Mall for easy, convenient access to shopping and services whilst also allowing for a peaceful getaway away from the crowds.

The cottage offers accommodation for up to 4 guests in 2 separate tastefully furnished bedrooms, each with a Queen sized bed and all the amenities required. There are 2 bathrooms: one that is recently refurbished that is situated between the two bedrooms (with shower, basin and toilet), and one as part of the garage conversion with access leading from the lounge area (also with shower, basin and toilet.) This second bathroom also houses the washing machine and dryer and doubles-up as a laundry.

At the front of the cottage there is a sun filled West-facing covered patio with table and seating looking out on to a delightful garden and mountain view. At the back of the cottage there is a spacious paved courtyard surrounded by garden with a firepit and outside umbrellad table and seating.

The kitchen/dining room area is well equipped with all standard amenities such as electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and everything else required for a comfortable self-catered breakaway that may include entertaining. There is a wood-burning stove in the lounge for those chilly winters, as well as electric blankets and wall panel heaters in the bedrooms.

Electricity back-up is provided to the property by an Inverter which allows for a seamless electricity supply during power interruptions.

The cottage is also equipped with uncapped wireless Fibre and an Apple TV device through which guests can access the cottage's DSTV streaming package. Netflix and other streaming services can be accessed using guests' own accounts.

The cottage offers the security of an access controlled complex with a wall top perimeter electric fence. The cottage itself is fitted with an alarm system connected to armed response.

Neighbourhood Rules

Kranszicht is a quiet neighbourhood that offers a certain sense of orderliness, from which guests will benefit during their stay. Guests will be required to be considerate of other residents with activities and noise levels, especially between the hours of 22h00 and 8h00. The Rules of the complex, which will apply to guest stays, prohibit the disturbance of neighbours, and require party time noise to be toned down from 22h00 and not to go beyond 23h00. Fireworks and skateboarding or roller skating in the complex road are also not permitted.
