What some guests may NOT Like about our property:
• Some guests are expecting a totally secluded cabin. It is not. It is located in a neighborhood and there are neighbors on either side and other cabins around.
• While Sunshine Valley is generally a quiet community, long weekends, ATV’s, chopping wood, etc, cause noise. Please do not expect it to be completely silent.
• Sunshine Valley does not have restaurants or other commercial businesses (there is one general store at the RV Resort with limited items and hours).
• We occasionally get reviews saying “there was nothing to do” or we are given lower ratings on “location”. It is the guest’s responsibility to look up the location they are traveling to and inform themselves of the area they’ll be visiting. Our listing is very clear that Sunshine Valley is a remote neighborhood of cabins with no commercial businesses. If you are looking for a combination of nightlife and the outdoors, Whistler may be more your vibe.
• Sunshine Valley (and area) is typically enjoyed by people who like being outdoors, hiking, biking, exploring, picnicking, fishing, skiing, boating (non-motorized), ATV’ing, etc. It can also be greatly enjoyed by those who just want to relax by the firepit, sit in the hot tub, listen to records, read a book, or be inside a log cabin and listen to the frogs at night.
• Log cabins get dusty and have some cobwebs. We do our very best to stay on top of it, but unfortunately it will never be perfect.
• We do not have a microwave, dishwasher, or washer and dryer (there is a laundromat located nearby).
• You can not plug your electric vehicle into the cabin (doesn’t have the electrical capacity). There’s an EV station 5 minutes up the hwy at the Hope Slide Rest Area.
• Power outages and water shut-offs occurs. While uncommon, it can happen. This is not within our control.
We include this information to be transparent and help guests choose accommodations that will be best suited to their expectations and the way they like to enjoy their holidays!
We sincerely hope you enjoy your time at our cabin and that we have provided enough information that it meets your expectations upon arrival and throughout your stay! 😊

From the host
The cabin is located in the Huckleberry West neighborhood. This is an older neighborhood in Sunshine Valley that boasts plenty of mature evergreen trees offering privacy and that mountain forest feel. Please note that there are neighboring cabins. In the winter time there is a community skating rink (near the Huckleberry entrance gate). Inquire with the hosts to find out when the rink will be available. Bring your skates!
