Unwind in our 17ft yurt decked out in Kyrgyzstan decor complete with kitchenette and outdoor kitchen. Cozy up near the wood stove or zip off the canvas wall to invite a cool breeze on a warm day. Go for a woodland walk, make friends with our sheep, or laze around listening to the sounds of the forest animals! Browse our "shelter inspired" library and select a game to play. Nestled under trees on a wooden platform this is an ideal retreat space for a couple or a family of four.

The space
Our hand-crafted coppice wood yurt is made by us (Little Foot Yurts) with natural and local materials. Equipped with felt panels and wood stove this cozy yurt will keep you warm and happy! Low level electricity is present for lighting. The yurt includes a small table with seats for four, a double bed complete with sheets, down duvet, and pillows. There is also a futon which can sleep two people and comes with bedding.

In the cooler months the wood stove will keep you warm, however you will need to re- stoke the fire at least once through the night if you want the heat to continue until the morning.

Our kitchenette is simple yet has everything you'll need to cook a meal, including mugs, cups, plates, bowls, cutlery, pot, fry pan, bottle opener, strainer, chopping board and wash up necessities. A covered outdoor area with propane camp stove is also provided.

Drinking water and firewood is provided. Enjoy an locally themed welcome package consisting of Just Us coffee, tea, milk, eggs, apples and homemade granola bars!

We have a composting toilet nearby the yurt in an outhouse.

A firepit, kindeling and paper are availible for your enjoyment.

Please note, our neighbours at 1445 also have a yurt which can clearly be seen from the road. Our yurt is in the woods and cannot be seen from the road.

Guest access
You'll have your own private parking area, covered outdoor kitchen, composting toilet and access to 11 acres of woodland trails. The walk to the yurt and takes about 2 minutes and it is uphill. In the fall and spring months it can be muddy so plead bring rubber boots. In the wintertime it can be icy so please take your time.

Other things to note
We have three ewes; Beetroot, Honey & Syrup, and often their little lambs! They are friendly and like company. Occasionally, an electric fence is erected, so please be mindful. Dogs are permitted inside the yurt and we have a dog blanket availible. Dogs must be on a leash on our property because of our sheep and chickens.
