Perched atop a stunning Malibu Canyon Home is a unique studio ideal for a elusive, healing or very romantic getaway. Those seeking a special environment with open vistas, fresh clean air, expansive & elevated ocean views, and access to the Coast & Wine District in less then 3 miles will appreciate the turn-key commodities this space offers. You can "escape" and turn it all "off" OR you can elect Uber and WiFi phone if you need to be "on." (NOTE: Driving directions are required reading.)
The suite is approximately 780 square feet. It includes a walk out patio veranda that is the perfect place for either an evening barbecue or to connect with the sun in the eastern horizon as it comes up in the morning. It has a Mediterranean aesthetic and a broad vista architecture. Truly a unique space that reminds me of a tree-house because of its elevation and seclusion to the main house.
A generous private bath with a jet bath tub & walk-in tiled shower is what sets this space a part from the rest. This space is perfect for the environmentally conscious and those looking for healing. If you are interested in serenity, spa retreats and opportunities to go hiking, ride horses, relax, and enjoy your own space, this is the perfect spot for you. I'm equestrian and enjoy several horses and chickens on my property below and private trail access in the Santa Monica Mountains.

In addition to all the amenities listed, the suite also is equipped with WiFi cell phone & date capabilities, Uber access, bubble bath for the jet bath tub in your Suite.
If you have horses and wish you bring them, please contact me about arranging extra corral space. Additionally, there is an exterior Jacuzzi hot tub - available upon request by special arrangement only. Additional fees apply. (please notify me 24 hours ahead of time if you want to use it.)
The sofa easily accommodates an extra person.
Drought conditions in California require me to assess extra fees for excessive water usage. (Brief daily showers and/or Jacuzzi use every three (3) days is considered acceptable.)
You have your own private access to the suite with your own set of keys. You will take a flight of stairs down from the main street to the entrance of the suite. There are lights that serve to guide your steps if you arrive past sunset. Malibu lights operate from dusk to dawn.
You have complete access to the perimeters of your suite and adjacent outdoor barbecue patio. I request that you please respect the personal boundaries of the two lower floors of the main residence where I reside. Please understand, you are ALWAYS encourage to contact me by phone, text or simply ringing the front doorbell.
Interaction with guests
I honor your space & time during your stay in the Cloud Suite. If you need recommendations I am available and open to helping you.
As an equestrian, I also can provide guided horseback trail rides through the private park trails adjacent to my property (additional cost to your stay). Experienced riders only please.
Additionally, if you would enjoy a massage therapist and esthetician, yoga instructor or coach to visit, I can arrange that for you.
Other things to note
Unique characteristics to the area: California is in drought and ask that you are considerate of all resources especially water.
There is off street parking available. ALL of Malibu is on a septic system and requires your cooperation. There is "on site" laundry for emergencies and extended bookings.
Please note it is very quiet in the neighborhood. Our "white noise" is owls, coyotes, and bobcats and when there is water in the stream, frogs! We appreciate your keeping it that way. Thank you.
Also, All LA County short term rentals are subject to Los Angeles County's Transient Occupancy Tax (12 %) which is NOT included in the rental price. I must separately collect and pay it to LA County. I will send a request for payment of the taxes at the end of your stay and you can pay through Airbnb. Thank you for understanding.
No parties or loud music - this is a quiet retreat space. Please be respectful of your noise levels and footprint.

No smoking of any kind, as Malibu has fallen victim to fires in her past.
Will consider small pets on an individual basis for $20/night. Feel free to inquire.

This property is not appropriate for running commercial ventures that involve client visits.

Delicate septic system due to dramatic terrain of Santa Monica Mountains. Details provided upon check in. But, simply put, nothing other than pee, poop and paper goes into the toilet system. Q-tips, face wipes, sanitary products and face wipes should go in standard waste basket system. Thank you.
The unit is the entire second floor level of the residence only. Please use the living area designated for this unit. and use the small refrigerator and microwave provided or the private patio BBQ for cooking. If you need to use the kitchen for extensive baking, please just let us know so we can make sure it can be cleared for your use.
Please access this unit from the private entrance on the second floor throughout the day and lock at night.
Please do not take towels from the units. If you'd like to rent a beach towel or other fun items, please inquire.
