The house sits across the street from the Nehalem River and has a big yard with 300 year old trees. Yvette and Richard treated us really well. We enjoyed the extra treats that were provided and the chocolate chip cookies were scrumptious. Although this is in a very quiet town, HWY 101 runs right through it. The house is off of the main HWY 101 (about a city block) but there is commuter traffic in the early morning that runs right in front of the house. The large trucks can be noisy, but after 9:00 AM it's quiet and peaceful again. The balcony is nice to sit on, but the view is of the trees, not much else. There is a beautiful friendly white cat that likes to hang out in the washroom in the morning behind the window curtain, which may startle you but he/she's a special bonus to your stay.

Extremely communicative folks. Very kind. When you stay there they make you feel very welcome. We drove into the driveway and immediately saw a deer with her two fawns beside us. The old house is beautiful and the trees on the property are amazing. Yvette and Richard were extremely easy to communicate with. They have nice pets as well. Basically this is a real home with real people and we had a very nice stay. Thanks.

Yvette's home is a lovely, quiet getaway while driving the Oregon coast. Our room was surprisingly large, with the added bonus of a private balcony overlooking the yard. It was excellent value - very clean and comfortable, with all of the things we needed: parking, a comfy bed, two bathrooms to use in the house, water and small treats in our room, and welcoming, gracious hosts. I hope to return to Nehalem and spend more time exploring the area. I would return to Yvette's for sure!

This place is a hidden gem, I wish we could have stayed longer. Yvette and her family made us feel so welcome. Loved relaxing by the wood burning fireplace at the end of the day, and in the morning there were deer across the street. The pictures don't do the room justice - huge ultra comfortable rooms.
