Parking Information for Our Airbnb Guests
General Information: All parking is street parking. You can get a permit to park on the street day and night by visiting Halifax web page. Choose a visitor parking permit. With this permit, you can park in any permit parking area within the Halifax Area. You don't need to display anything in your car, as the attendants have a record of your permit. You can only purchase your parking permit 14 days in advance. The rates are as follows: one day - $15, two days - $25, and seven days - $35.
Free Parking: Parking is free on weekends and evenings, and no permit is needed. There is parking available on both sides of our street. One side is permit parking only, and the other side has meter parking.
Summer: Be mindful of street cleaning signs. Overnight parking is not allowed between 12:05 am and 6:00 am on Wednesdays. You can park on other streets or at Centennial Pool (1970 Gottingen St., just around the corner) for a small fee. You need to visit their office to get your parking pass.
Winter: An overnight parking ban may be in place anytime between December 15 and March 31. If there is a bad snowstorm, overnight parking will not be allowed. You can check Halifax web page for updates, and I will usually notify you if the snow ban is active. During such times, I recommend parking at Centennial Pool (1970 Gottingen St., just around the corner). They charge a small fee for night and day parking, and you need to visit their office to book your parking.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance with parking!
