This cozy street-level apartment serves as a great base to visit the Herault Valley: winemakers, St Guilhem-le-Desert, Lac Salagou, Pezenas, Sete, Arles, lots more. Daily buses to Montpellier. Half hour to Mediterranean beaches. If you don't feel like getting in the car, there is plenty to do in the village itself: concerts (jazz, classical, world music), holiday meals open to all, wine festival. The village likes to celebrate life, wine, cheese, nature, history. Always something going on.

What a great opportunity to experience the superior quality of life of a small village in Southern France. Julie has created the perfect "nest" for writers, creative types, and other observers of life. She will make you feel very welcome, as will your new neighbors. Fully equi…

Nice place with a lot character! Communication was excellent. However, I would say it was more suitable for summer rentals than in the winter :) beautiful village and surroundings. Would come back in the summer!

Response from Julie:
Unfortunately, there was very cold rainy weather in February and Jess's eight-month old was not doing too well. (I was in New York when Jess and family visited, so I missed the cold spell in Montpeyroux.) I am happy to refund Jess one night's rent as well as offer her a free night in warmer weather. I keep the apartment available year-long because past renters (long-term) have kept the place cozy during winter months.

I thoroughly enjoyed a long stay in the Quaint Bakery in Montpeyroux. The village is very attractive, and large enough to support several shops and a couple of bars. People are friendly, the local wine is exceptional. The surrounding landscape is of mountains and vineyards, the …

Montepeyroux is a lovely place with little streets and very friendly people. Everyday we went to the bakery and bought some of the very delicious traditionel baguettes and croissants. When we arrived in Montepeyroux Julie had welcome us and showed us the rooms and explained the m…

Julie was an excellent host, and made us feel very welcome-even we arrived early. The place is chaming and authentic. The deep walls and vaulted ceilings of the old bakery kept the cool air in even on the hotest of aftenoons. The village is an excellent point to discove the wonde…
