This cozy retreat sleeps up to 12, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and sits on 12 acres of land. Relax and enjoy this rustic home or travel to area attractions. Lake Huron beaches are within a 30 minute drive and Blue Mountain is 45 minutes away.
And in the words of a recent guest... "the view of the stars there is something you will never see in any city.”

[Please note our Long Weekend policy below>> minimum 3-night rental for long weekends].

The space

The house was built by Jane's late Uncle Bell entirely of B.C. cedar. We have recently worked to restore and refinish the beautiful cedar walls and ceilings that cover the interior of the home.

The house has 4 bedrooms on the main level, each with a queen bed. The basement has an open room with 4 single beds.
There are two 3-piece bathrooms - one has a shower and the other has a large jacuzzi whirlpool tub.

The home also includes the following amenities:
- fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave, many small appliances, and all the dishes and cookware you could need.
- dining area that can seat up to 8 when the table is expanded.
- deck with BBQ
- wood stove in the living room
- TV and DVD player
- plenty of games
- upright piano
- cross country skis
- bicycles

There are a few steps up into the house, but the rest of it is all on one level, except for the basement bedroom.

The home is heated by a pellet stove furnace, a wood stove in the living room, and baseboard heaters throughout the house.

Guest access

The home and 12 acre property are exclusively yours during your stay.

We provide 5 pair of cross country skiis and 3 bikes.

Interaction with guests

Guests will let themselves in, but we are just a phone call or message away if you need anything.

Steve and Jane are great hosts, they kept in touch with us leading up to our stay, made sure we got in ok and checked in one more time to ensure all was good. They have also thought of everything for this home. A fully outfitted kitchen (plates, utensils, pots, pans, blender, coffee maker and tassimo...). Lots to do... hiking, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, board games, bikes. If you think they won't have something... guess again! It's all there! If you are looking to get away from the rat race and want a place to kick back and relax with friends and family (adults and kids) I would recommend you check this place out!

Good property with lots of things to do around the house. Communication is good and things are enough for 12 people

Just got back from a family trip this week and all I have to say is Steve and Janes place was amazing! Appx 1.5 hours from Tobermory which we did some day trips before coming home. Property is beautiful and inside is very cozy. Felt at home right away. For those who like Volleyball there is a hidden gem in the backyard. Will definitely come back again!

Cedarbelle is a lovely cottage. The house is equipped with everything you might need for your stay. We were in the area for a wedding, so we didn't spend that much time at the house, but there are lots of activities available if you are going to be spending your time there. There is a volleyball court, a pond, lots of games and DVDs and even musical instruments. Steve was a wonderful host and proved to be very helpful to us both at this house and at the homestead farm, where our daughter and son-in-law were married.
