I chose Lotte's apartment after I read through all the other reviews. But eventually, my first trip to Amsterdam started off as a nightmare. When I arrived, Lotte was away on a trip, so her friend was there to help with the check-in. After I unpacked, I took a shower and wanted to dry my hair. It was written on the profile that the apartment is equipped with a hair dryer but it was nowhere to be seen. Lotte was on the plane at this point so I texted her friend about it. She said she didn't know and she told me that Lotte may have taken it with her on her trip. I was s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)rritated. Shouldn't she have told me in advance if she was gonna take it with her? I would have taken my own then. So I texted Lotte and waited until she got off the plane and checked my message. She said she was sorry and that I can buy one and she would reimburse. Are you kidding me??!? Why should I be wasting my precious time(on my holiday) going around the neighborhood in search of a hair dryer? And this was like, 8-9 o' clock in the evening! To make matters worse, I opened the washing machine and found a piece of wet underwear. So gross!!! And later on, I opened the trash bin and there was trash in it as if it hadn't been emptied after the previous guests had checked out. I also told Lotte about this and she said that her place is "properly and professionally cleaned" and that her friend may have thrown away something in it while she was waiting for me. I was so fed up at this point that I didn't want to put up with this nonsense. I contacted airbnb and explained the situation with the hair dryer, sent them the pictures of the trash bin, washing machine, etc. I told them I wanted a refund for the rest of the 6 nights. Airbnb was really helpful to sort things out for me. However, I had to stay up all night stressing out myself looking for a hotel for the rest of my stay in Amsterdam. I can't believe I had to waste my time and money like this on my holiday. The next day I checked out in the morning. I eventually booked a 4 star hotel, in compensation for all the stress and agony I had to go through. It was definitely a horrible way to start my holiday. FYI, it says that the apartment is equipped with a hanger, but it's actually 2 tiny "hooks" attached to the back of the bedroom door.

The apartment is overall lovely, and in a great location. Check in was easy, and Lotte is a good host. But be aware that the bedroom, doesn't have a proper bed, but a folding sofa bed, with the gap in the middle, by the3rd night it was very uncomfortable, and woke up with back pain. Also it's a small ground floor bedroom facing the main road. Location is great, and the apartment has everything you 'll need. Bathroom with walk in shower is a plus.

Lovely central flat with pretty garden. Lotte was very attentive and gave a list of great recommendations. Definitely get a bike from the local rental place to get you through Vondelpark to the centre, a very pretty ride.

Lotte met us early in the morning before she headed to work, as a result of our early flight into the city, to hand us the keys and was so helpful with providing us information that helped us navigate the neighborhood and use the trams. She kindly left us a note with places to visit for a nice meal. She has a lovely apartment in a pretty neighborhood across the street from Vondelpark. Get out and enjoy the neighborhood around her spot, you won't regret it!

Lovely clean apartment in a great location near the park. Well decorated apartment and very comfy. We had great weather so we're lucky enough to spend our evenings in the private garden. Lotte's instructions to find the apartment were clear and she was always very helpful. I will recommend this apartment to friends and would certainly stay again.
