This is a spacious studio basement apartment located in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Stony Brook.

The space
This is a spacious studio basement apartment connected to our private home with private outside entrance. Car park spaces available.

There is a large living and dining space with a full size home theater (including surround sound and cable television). The bedroom area features a comfortable Queen sized bed with attached bathroom. There is a small kitchenette/bar area equipped with a microwave, fridge, bar sink, electric kettle, toaster and Keurig coffee machine (with tea and coffee provided).

The main house features a large back patio, BBQ and swimming pool, which guests can enjoy during the warmer months! The house is set off the main road in a lovely secluded and wooded area- a little oasis for you to enjoy.

We are located a five minute (maybe even less!) drive away from Stony Brook University and Stony Brook train station.

The house is a five to ten minute walk to the lovely historic Stony Brook Village featuring a number of top quality restaurants and cafés. It is a five-minute walk through the lush Avalon Park featuring walking trails through the woods and meadows.

There is a large shopping mall, Loewe’s Cinema and Wholefoods, Trader Joe and Stop and Shop supermarkets located a 10-minute drive away.

I have two children, a son who is currently studying graphic design in California and a daughter who lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband. I have spent my entire life traveling and love a new adventure. I grew up in London and moved to New York when I was in my late twenties. Since then, my husband and I have spent over 10 years living abroad, mainly in Asia, and are now semi-retired and residing in Stony Brook.

The access to the apartment is private and the amount of interaction we have with you is entirely up to you. The outside areas are shared with the main house occupants, however if you would like to have your privacy you can definitely have that here! We will be available whenever you need to assist you with your stay, or to provide excellent recommendations on where to go for a good glass of wine and a meal.
