Come lose yourself...Come find yourself...
If your journey takes you to Salt Spring Island, then your destination has to be Lost & Found Guest House. A beautiful new cabin with everything you need for a perfect stay.

The space

Come to Lost & Found Guest house on spectacular Salt Spring Island for a little fun, a little rest in our clean and comfortable accommodation surrounded by world class art & craft.

Lost & Found was designed by the owners to be a family friendly guest house with plenty of room for larger groups. Located 10 minutes drive from Ganges and the Salt Spring market and even closer to many other attractions like, fresh and salt water beaches, the town of Fulford and inspiringl hikes, Lost & Found is a wonderful retreat for people of all ages and interests.

The owners live on the same property but far enough away from the guest house to provide a private and secluded stay. The owners are most always available for any question or recommendations for your unique island stay.

Along with our kid friendly atmosphere, we also take pride in adorning our walls with beautiful artwork by artists such as Robert Bateman, Alan Bateman and Kate Kennedy. Although the exterior has a rural flavor, all the appliances are up to date including the jetted bath tub. The interior decor reflects a retro style carefully fostered by the owners.

Book with us for a unforgettable, one of a kind Salt Spring visit.

While our host John was lovely…there were several factors that would have improved the enjoyment of our stay. Firstly, we arrived at the cabin with a shovel in the entryway rhodendron, the kitchen table pulled away from the eating area, crumbs all over the floor…the vacuum in the front entryway, and the toilet paper roll holder in the hallway. We informed our lovely host, and unfortunately, although we arrived after check in time, the suite had not been cleaned to completion due to “crossed wires” with his wife. Secondly we came across several burned out light bulbs…in the bathroom, the reading lamp behind the downstairs sofa, on the stairway, and the upstairs reading lamp. Several drapes throughout the home were hanging on the floor, in need of obvious hemming. Additionally, the TV and DVD remote batteries were dead, as was the BBQ lighter…and, the CD’s in the stereo skipped. It was a cool rainy day in which we would have liked to light a fire in the wood stove. The welcoming binder indicated provision of kindling and firewood, however, we were provided with two sticks of kindling at the front step. The cleaning of the suite is sub-optimal at best – spider-webs in the rafters, food remnants smeared on kitchen cupboards, the oven door of the stove not cleaned, window screens filthy with dust, windows smeared with finger prints, the freezer littered with crumbs, as were the kitchen cupboard drawers. The patio was strewn with disorganized furniture, and faded children’s toys were strewn about the garden. With correction of the latter, our stay would have been less frustrating and greatly improved.

Great place on the Island. Quiet, charming, removed from the town but close enough to everything you need. The hosts are very polite, easy to deal with and helpful

Four friends and I came to stay at John's beautiful guest home. It was so cozy, and great for our group of five. We felt right at home and loved spending our mornings on the deck eating breakfast. The view outside the back was so beautiful and quiet - the perfect escape for fellow city residents needing a break! I would definitely stay here again when in Salt Spring

Salt Spring Island is an enchanting place. John's place was perfect for a girlfriends trip. We were all very happy there!

I am a woodworker living on Salt Spring Island with my wife and kids. Salt Spring is our home of choice because of the fantastic scenery and wonderful, funny, insane Salt Spring community. I also write a monthly column in Fishbowl Magazine and a weekly radio show on Salt Spring's radio station CFSI fm.
